2022 is shaping up to be the year of eMobility. Certainly, electric scooters, bikes, hoverboards, and even smart helmets will define the new eMobility. Most importantly, CES has a new eMobility Experience with electric bicycles and scooters on a test track for demo rides. For example, over 50 leading electric bike and scooter brands are taking part in demonstration rides on the 65,000 square foot test track.

The track features ramps and hills to simulate real-world conditions. Therefore, attendees can experience first-hand the handling and acceleration features of new e-bikes and scooters. Above all, riders can try different vehicles on the track to better gauge the performance of new e-mobility solutions.

Let’s take a look at some of the notable products and solutions coming out of the eMobility space at CES2022.

Bosch eBike System

Bosch eBike System

The Bosch System was named a CES 2022 Innovation Awards Honoree in the “Vehicle Intelligence & Transportation category. In other words, this system merges the physical experience of riding an e-bike with the digital experience provided by app connectivity.

This smart system comprises the new eBike Flow app, an LED user interface, rechargeable battery, and drive unit. Together, these components work inside the eBike Flow app to provide a new riding experience.

Users can track and record their activities. Personal rides and exercise sessions, customized riding modes, and battery status can be accessed from the home screen. Thankfully, over-the-air updates allow the ebike to be continuously enhanced with little user intervention.

OKAI SH10 Smart Helmet

OKAI SH10 Smart Helmet

Bike helmets are the next thing to get smart. First, the OKAI SH10 Smart Helmet is the world’s first smart interactive helmet designed to make commuters safer. Second, it is constructed with antibacterial materials and features integrated Bluetooth app connectivity. Therefore, riders can configure and customize the front and rear LED displays to improve rider visibility at night.

Riders can customize colours, texts, and patterns inside the app. In addition, the SH10 Smart Helmet features a smart integrated speaker. Riders can listen to their favourite music without affecting the aural awareness on the road. It merges the perfect blend of design, connectivity, and safety inside a bicycle helmet for the smart cities of tomorrow.

NUI BQi-C1 Pro e-bike

NUI BQi-C1 Pro

The BQi-C1 Pro from NIU features a V-shaped design on a strong yet light frame with a rear rack for carrying cargo. This clever and unique design gives better handling and access on and off the bike.

Perhaps the most innovative feature is dual battery support inside the frame.  It has a range between 40-60 miles with a top speed of 28 mph. Thankfully, carrying additional batteries can increase the range to more than 100 miles. This kind of range is remarkable for an e-bike.
