I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, I am a headphone convert.  Gone are the days when I slap any old thing over my ears and call that a listening experience. For the person who games or consumes other media on their consoles or PC’s, features like surround sound and wireless, quick access to a mic, or simply, a next level sound quality for whatever you’re watching or listening to, can make a big difference.I took a look at three of Skullcandy’s offerings in the Gaming Headphone market and the results were positive indeed.

    Let me just start by saying that I can’t sing. At. All.   My family has asked me to stop on numerous occasions when I’ve been belting out the soundtrack from Frozen, but sometimes you just can’t help it. You have to sing along with Elsa.   Now that I have the KOHLER Moxie Showerhead and Wireless Speaker hooked up in my bathroom, I have a place to belt out the showtunes or turn up the morning music. Although anyone who has hearing and is within 20 feet of my house during shower time may not be so happy I’ve installed it, I think this just might be one of the coolest home tech devices I’ve ever tried.

  The Internet of Things will ultimately change all of our lives for the better, and the Philips HUE lighting system is a great place to start. Imagine being able to control every aspect of your home with your Smartphone or tablet, and even have aspects of your home control itself based on a set of rules that you can customize. Philips Hue can take you there and do much more. It makes your lighting fun and convenient, while adding a lot of utility that can make your house more secure.

Peter Quill or also known as “Starlord” (Chris Pratt) goes on a mission to find an orb simply to make money, but what he doesn’t know is that the orb is extremely coveted by villain Ronan (Lee Pace), who will go great lengths to find it, even if it means killing a few people. 

Samsung continues to lead everyone but Apple in worldwide tablet sales and it’s not just the sheer number of different models it offers that’s the reason for that (although Samsung does offer a lot of different tablets). The company keeps upping its game and the Galaxy Tab S models are the latest example of this. Samsung sent me Galaxy Tab S 8.4 to try out and I found a lot to like about the company’s thinnest and lightest tablet. Especially that Super AMOLED display. I wouldn’t consider these headphones to have a flat frequency response, but they’re a lot closer to being that than a pair of Beats.  These headphones are tuned to enjoy listening to music. I wouldn’t use them to mix or critically listen to audio, but I did like what I heard from the AH-D600s.  The sound was full and rich – very pleasant to listen to at a wide variety of volume levels. 

Ryan (Jake Johnson) and Justin (Damon Wayans Jr.) are having trouble sorting out their lives. After going to a costume party where they decided to be cops, they end up acting like real cops on the street, which is totally illegal. 

Blu-Ray players used to be just that, able to only play Blu-Ray discs. Blu-Ray players today come with a myriad of additional capabilities and Samsung’s BD-H6500 is no exception. It is fully loaded and is 4K Ultra HD ready so if you have a 4K TV or plan to get one in the future this is the ideal Blu-Ray media player. One of the great things about this player is that it will upconvert HD content to be much closer to UHD resolution. It is loaded with other features too. Although it costs a little bit more than most other Blu-Ray players, I got my hands on one and given all its features and capabilities it is a great buy.  

We only use 10% of our brain, but when Lucy (Scarlett Johansson) gets captured and tortured, she ends up evolving into a human that uses 100% of their brain. Imagine what she can do at full capacity. 

Last November, I had an opportunity to review three different in-ear headphone models from Monster’s iSport line – Strive™, Intensity™, and Victory™. While each had their pros and cons, it was the iSport Victory™ that got my vote for the best of the bunch. In fact, since my review, the Victory™ earbuds have become just as much a staple to my workouts as my overpriced stretchy pants. But to throw a bit of a kink in things, I was just sent the latest in the iSport arsenal – the over-ear, wireless, and Bluetooth-enabled Freedom™ headphones. Would they take the place of my beloved Victory?
