Thinkware Dash Cams are easy to setup and use devices that deliver a wide range of benefits. Many people are aware that they could use the captured footage from a dash cam to help establish their innocence if they get into accident. However, they may not be aware of some of the other amazing benefits dash cams offer. You’ll find out for yourself how great these are if you read the information below before entering this contest. And if you enter this contest, you might win one of eight new Thinkware dash cams.
Thinkware dash cams are easy to use
I’ve sent Thinkware dash cams to various writers and there are a few commonalities across these reviews. First of all, they all found the installation and set up of the device extremely simple. For example, Dave Neufeld wrote, “Getting up and running with the Thinkware F70 Dashcam could scarcely be much easier.” In her review, Shelly Wutke said, “… it couldn’t have been easier.” Matt Paligaru explains how easy it is to install the front camera of the F200 he was sent then stated, “Installing the rear camera is just as easy.” And, after testing the F800 Brad Moon stated, “First up, installation of the dash cam was easy.”
See a pattern here? Multiple different independent reviewers, using different Thinkware dash cam models, all found that these are easy to set up. Furthermore, they all had no issues with using them as intended.
Why would you want a dash cam
Another commonality across all of these reviewers was what they saw as an important reason to get a dashcam: insurance claims. No one likes to be falsely accused of causing an accident. Dash cam footage has been used by many people to prove their innocence when the evidence was unclear or especially when the other party in the accident was not honest. Dash cam footage has also been used to help people get out of traffic tickets issued erroneously. “I didn’t go through a red light, officer; and, I can prove it!”
If you have teenagers, then a dash cam is a great motivator for them to driver responsibly: everything will be recorded and reviewed when the car is returned. Speaking of reviewing footage: you can also do this after a week of driving to help self-diagnose bad habits and become a safer driver youself.
Of course, you are likely familiar with one other benefit: capturing amazing or shocking events. I live on a tiny island, where the deer outnumber people 3 to 1, so I would likely capture a ton of footage of deer crossing the road if I had one. But YouTube has many examples of people capturing really cool footage like fireballs and meteorites—all thanks to owning a dashcam.

Good Luck
With wifi and forward collision Q800 pro to catch those stupid drivers on the road.
They all seem amazing but Q800PRO seems the best to me! 🙂
It would definitely have to be the Q800 i mean the image you get. Plus the ability for night time is a big thing when you do long distance traveling and need as many eyes on the road.
I would like the Q800 but would also be happy with any of the camera’s It is always so nice to have the opportunity to win!
My favorite is the Thinkware Q800PRO 2K Dashcamm. Hopefully I will never have to see this but I would use it to capture those who are not driving safely on the streets. I would rather use it to capture peaceful drives on the road when the Rather is amazing.
Be safe everyone and please don’t text and drive or drink and drive.
The Q800 for the wide angle. As we camp a fair amount, its great to get some of the amazing wildlife on video while driving & parked.
The Q800Pro is my favourite. Would use it to capture video of examples of bad driving and then upload to Youtube!
Thinkware x700. Capture bad drivers!
I like the Q800PRO since we was hit by a bad driver and she said to us this is not her fault and took long time to settle this issue, if i win this , this issue will not happen again
I like the Q800 Pro to capture the beauty of Atlantic, Canada where i live. Rivers, lakes and mountains to capture on video. The fall colors of nature are coming soon.
I like the allure of the Thinkware F70 Dashcam’s feature of securing video segments that it thinks are relevant (specifically, ones related to maybe-collisions) and places themm in a separate file on the memory card. Instead of fishing through (potentially) many recordings for something relevant, you only need to navigate to the folder and find the recording in question.
That said, I would prefer a camera with a higher quality so that it’s easier to pick out details that might be necessary – chief amongst them, licence plates – and while a 1080p camera might be good on a good weather day, sometimes a day with precipitation or such might hinder a 1080p camera.
So on that alone, I’d want to get the Thinkware Q800PRO 2K. That, and a host of other features – Integrated Thermal Protection for operating at higher temps, wide angle view, a GPS that records petinent details like speed and route, etc. – makes it a very attractive dashcam.
I like the Q800PRO dashcam. I drive a lot on the 401 from Toronto to Prince Edward County, about 3 hours and there is always some reckless drivers that I would love to have video of!!!
Parking Surveillance Mode on the Q800PRO sounds interesting.
Thinkware X700 Full HD 1080p Dash Cam & Rear Camera I would like to capture bad drivers
I like the Q800Pro for it’s wide angle and crystal clear pictures. I would hope to catch some interesting wildlife.
A Q800 Pro would be great for capturing all the weirdness I see on the road everyday. Weird driving, weird people, weird animals. Wouldn’t hurt to have in an accident either but I’m hoping I don’t have one of those.
I love the Q800 pro because of the ease of use.
The Q800Pro review had Me at Sony. My last 3 cell phones have been Sony and their cameras, outside of major security companies (Mobotix, Avigilon,), are by far the best! The rest of the features are just gravy!
As for the capture, I want to capture the most absurd novelty plates in the Golden Horseshoe!
My favorite would definitely be the Q800Pro dashcam.
My favorite would definitely be the Q800Pro dashcam. I have been brake checked many times on the highway, and if I do end up hitting one of those drivers in the future, I would like to capture that it was them who was driving negligently and not myself.
Would like the X700 to capture all the bad driving…
The F800, for me, has the best combination of form factor and features to fit my car and my needs. With daily commutes on the highways, expressways, and parkways in Toronto, I would feel a lot better having something in my new-to-me car for insurance purposes. Also, I’ve had some close calls with wildlife in cottage country that I would have loved to share with friends and family.
My favorite from the list is the F800 because of the collision warning, my wife and i drive every day with our son, and the main reason to have a dash cam is to track our driving experience, and to record any accident that we could be involved.
I would love to have the Thinkware U1000 4K UHD Dash Cam with Rear Camera & Wi-Fi because of rear camera, because I would like to capture, in the worst case scenario, evidence of an incident that could save me from life altering events. I am struggling right now due to similar and I would feel safer knowing i had it.
I always want the best model so the Q800Pro works for me! Would like to capture some lightning.
I like the Thinkware Q800PRO 2K Dashcam with Wi-Fi best. I hope to get out of this – catch those reckless drivers out there!
I think Q800 Pro would be great to have. IT will cut down on insurance. Especially when it covers all of your car.
It sounds like the Q800 would be the best one for me. I drive a lot and having a backup video just in case something happens would be very helpful!
The Q800Pro is favourite, lately I have been witness to more and more careless driving by people and a few near misses. It would be nice to be able to record some of these events.
I like the Q800PRO dashcam. I have been hit by a car running a red light and if it wasn’t for witnesses, it would have been his word and against mine. There are too many reckless drivers out there who are willing to lie or just don’t care about other people.
I think id like the F800 because it has built in Wi-Fi and also forward collision warning which is a nice touch. For me, the main point in having a dash cam is to capture an accident that you were involved in that was not your fault and you have video proof of it to protect yourself.
I would love the Thinkware F800 PRO Full HD 1080P Dashcam with Rear Camera & Wifi. Last week I had a very scary experience on the highway where I was about to pass someone and an erratic driver cut me off pushing me almost into the cement wall and he fishtailed about 4 times trying to recover then sped off zipping in & out of traffic. Definitely would have loved to provide a license plate and footage to police. I also get tailgated where I have almost been bumped. I’m started to become anxious when driving.
x700 sounds great, easy to set up and front and rear viewing is awesome. so many times i would really love to get a picture of someone who is driving wayyyyy to close. maybe a camera will get them to back off
My favourite is the Thinkware Q800PRO. I hope to capture clips of my frequent roadtrips.
I would choose the Thinkware Q800PRO. I love the 2K QHD resolution feature that ensure clearer images. I am hoping to catch a video of a Sasquatch someday….lol
Thinkware U1000 4K UHD Dash Cam with Rear Camera & Wi-Fi …hello did someone say 4k?! id love that
I would love to get the Thinkware F800 1080p Dashcam with Super Night Vision & WiFi as I live in a rural area so the night vision will come in really handy. It would be great for capturing the natural beauty of the area, especially around sunset.
I would love this Dashcam: Thinkware F800 1080p Dashcam with Super Night Vision & WiFi. The cheap one we use now blocks some of the driver’s vision.
All of 5he dashcams are good, and as much as I could go without it, the q800pro would be my pick.
Constantly driving between van and PG, PR for work, the wildlife at night, let alone the day, would be awesome to record on the drive in 2k!
F800 PRO Full HD 1080P will capture some good wildlife shots!
My favourite is the X700 Full HD 1080p Dash Cam. I would hope to use it to capture bad drivers on the road.
I would love the x700 so you can see what happens behind you….but I’d be happy with just a x70 just to capture the view in front
The Thinkware F800 Full HD 1080p Dash Cam & Rear Camera is perfect for me because it has built in Wi-Fi & GPS.
Definitely U1000. A bit pricey, yes, but with 4K resolution front and 2K rear, it’s the one most likely to read license plates.
I would love to capture wildlife thinkware X700 would help
I would love the F200 dashcam. Great to have In case of an accident or to capture things happening on a road trip.
Thinkware x700 full he 1080p dashcam and rear camera because you never know when your going to need to see whats happening behind you
For me it would be the F800 out of your list, mostly for the dual cameras. I just inherited a classic truck from my Father, and along with peace of mind driving I would hope to capture with the dashcam, moments camping, going for mountain drives, moments with the family and some classic vehicles.
I really don’t have a favorite but I wouldn’t mind winning one. I have read the above comments and decided to pick one of their favorites. The Thinkware X700 Full HD 1080p Dash Cam & Rear Camera. It would be good as where both my husband and I are older and could use one in case something should happen. Great idea from a great place to shop.
Many years ago, I purchased my first Thinkware F750 dashcam. Since then, I have owned 2 different Thinkware cams myself and recommend them to all my friends and family.
I would love to upgrade to a Q800Pro for both of our vehicles. Over the years I have caught erratic driving, near misses, and even a hit and run. TBH I would love to record nothing but beautiful roads and nature in 2K quality.
Would love to sport the F800 Pro in my vehicle as me & my faithful companion dog cruise the mountains & Hwys in Northern BC on one of our many adventures, hoping to capture some incredible shots.
