There are few homes in Canada that do not have an appliance from KitchenAid. Perhaps it’s a blender or a hand mixer. Perhaps you recently discovered the versatility of the new KitchenAid cordless appliances. We wrote about these on the blog about a month ago. Read on to learn more about these appliances and to find out how you can enter for a chance to win one.

KitchenAid has the appliances we use every day

What is your go-to small appliance? For me it’s the coffee maker. I use it everyday. But I also bake regularly; for that, I prefer the hand mixer over my stand mixer or hand blender. Perhaps it’s just habit, but I like to use the hand mixer for most mixing tasks. My only problem with it is actually one that KitchenAid just solved: the cord sometimes gets twisted or is just in the way.

Shelly just reviewed several new KitchenAid appliance including a few KitchenAid cordless appliances. She was very impressed with the freedom in the kitchen that these allow. I can imagine making fewer messes by carrying the mixer straight to the sink and removing the beaters there, rather than over the counter.

KitchenAid appliances just become a part of a recipe

My wife does this all the time. She’ll be making one of her favourite recipes and she’ll ask me to “get the KitchenAid” out of the cupboard. “Which one?” I respond and she looks at me like I’m on another planet and should just know which appliance goes with this recipe. Whether it’s a food chopper, a blender or whatever, these appliances become a necessary component of the cooking process. Are there any recipes that “require” a very specific appliance that you can’t do without?

We sent out some great new KitchenAid appliances for reviews and now that those appliances have returned to my office, we want to give them away in this contest. Perhaps one of these will become part of your daily cooking routine.

How to enter

Entering this contest is easy and you can enter once here below this article and once below the article announcing these four appliances. In a comment, tell us what is your favourite KitchenAid appliance and is there a favourite recipe you make with that appliance.

What you can win

At the end of this contest we will select seven (7) winners to get one of the seven appliances that had been sent to a blogger for a review:

2 KitchenAid Cordless Hand Blender (Red)
2 KitchenAid Cordless Variable Speed Immersion Blender (Red)
1 KitchenAid Cordless Food Chopper (5 cup – Red)
2 KitchenAid 1.66L 1200-Watt Stand Blender with 16oz Personal Blending Jar (Silver)

This contest runs from Oct 11th to Oct 26th.

Remember you can only enter once below this article and once beneath the announcement article for these appliances. However, your family and friends likely also want a chance to win a great KitchenAid appliance so share with them. If they win I’m sure they will bake you something wonderful to say thank you.

  1. My favourite KitchenAid appliance is definitely the stand mixer and I love making banana chocolate chip muffins (my mom’s recipe!) with it – thanks for the generous contest & chance to win!!

  2. I would absolutely love having a big beautiful silver blender to match my Kitchenaid stand mixer. I love baking cakes and cookies as well as homemade donuts and pies. Thanks for having this contest!

  3. My Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer, which is my best kitchen friend. I make so many things with this such as pizza dough/cookies/and whipping cream!

  4. The chopper is an ideal staple! I just bought a house and we need kitchen aid everything!!! It’s perfect for chopping veggies! Saves so much time!

  5. Love the red color, very modern. I’d love the Kitchenaid cordless 5 cup chopper. Our manual one is on it’s last legs and we looooove cauliflower fried rice at our house.

    • Must have of Kitchenaid: the artisan stand mixer, food processor, blender and everything else they make.. I love their products.
I make cakes, bread, rotis and all.doughs in the mixer. Blenders for soups and curries.

  6. I would love to own the Kitchenaid 5Cup Cordless Food Chopper especially for chopping onions, then I won’t cry every time I chop one and also for carrots so they don’t scid all over the kitchen counter when I try to chop them. I would love to own all of the items in this contest.

  7. Would love the Kitchenaid 5 cup Cordless Food Chopper as I do not have one, not even a manual one. Last night and whenever I hand chop an onion I am crying!!? And carrots would be so easy to chop with this instead of sending them all over the kitchen! All of the small appliances would be great to receive.

  8. My favourite Kitchenaid appliance is the stand mixer because it is amazing for all the baking I do which will more than come in handy this holiday season!!

  9. I would love the KitchenAid 5 Cup Cordless Food Chopper. The chopper I have is old & small but use it almost daily for dicing onions, no crying method. How can you have a recipe without onions. Then is great for chopping nuts for banana bread as cannot by just using a knife get them small enough.

  10. Kitchenaid mixer, it would get me baking! My best and favourite dessert is Fluffy, moist, cooling and extra syrupy! A mouthwatering traditional Greek dessert with the flavours and aromas of flaked coconut and oranges (revani or ravani cake). One can find many variations of this traditional Greek ravani recipe, with the most well known being the coconut-based ravani recipe and the semolina based ravani recipe from the region of Veroia. Both are delicious, but my absolute favorite is this extra syrupy Greek coconut cake, a very unique traditional Greek dessert, which stands up with its delicate cooling flavour, texture and amazing smell!

  11. The Stand Mixer with the grater attachment is invaluable to me as a mother with 2 kids who devour cheese for pizza and mac and cheese.

  12. My favourite Kitchen Aid Appliance is the Custom Stand Mixer. It has been so useful, and my favourite recipe to make using this would be cookies! The dough turns out perfect with this mixer!

  13. My favourite KitchenAid appliance is my hand mixer. I make the most scrumptious chocolate layer cake with it, for birthdays.

  14. My favourite Kitchen Aid appliance is my stand mixer. I love how quickly it whips up eggs – much faster than by hand!

  15. My favourite kitchenaid product is the stand mixer. It has helped me prep my banana bread and cinnamon buns.

  16. Love the kitchen aid hand blender, although I own a corded one. Would love to try kitchenaid blender because I use a blender daily for mixing soups, shakes, smoothies, you name it!

  17. The KitchenAid hand mixer is my favourite appliance and I use it frequently to make cake from a boxed mix.

  18. My favourite Kitchenaid appliance is my stand mixer. The thing it helps me most with is kneading bread dough.

  19. My favourite kitchenaid appliance is the stand mixer. I make whipped cream all the time and add a little Canadian Maple Syrup. They know what they’re doing in Quebec!

  20. My favorite KitchenAid appliance is definitely my classic red standing mixer, which will last forever. I use it to make a whole lot of different items like Chinese steam bun dough and Vietnamese style French bread dough. I’d love to win the 1.66L 1200-Watt Stand Blender because my current blender now has a non-repairable leak. 🙁
