soundtouch 10 doubleA popular wireless speaker option now has added versatility.

Bose has announced it is now doubling its power when it comes to one of its most popular wireless speakers. The Bose Soundtouch 10 will soon be offered as a duo (in black or white), for a reduced price, making it easier (and more cost effective) than ever to create your own in-house multi-room audio experience.

Wireless speakers for the home are a versatile option to get great quality sound in small or awkward spaces, or places where speaker wire just doesn’t make sense and that’s why Bose SoundTouch has been a popular choice.

rsz_bose_10_bathroomWhat is Bose Soundtouch?

Bose SoundTouch is a line of three different Wi-Fi speakers. Each of the three, (the 10, 20 or 30) are slightly larger in size and power than the one before, and they’ll work in concert to create multi-room audio, or separately in various rooms in your home.

The new announcement of a two-pack of speakers is specific to the SoundTouch 10.

Features of Bose SoundTouch

-Works with music services, internet radio stations or your stored music library

-Sets up and connects to your home wifi for wireless use & control

rsz_bose_trioSoundTouch 10/20/30: The key differences

The major difference right off the bat is the size and weight of the individual speakers. While the SoundTouch 10 is the smallest and most compact, it also has the smallest sound, but only when compared to the other two speakers. Even so, the SoundTouch 10 is loud and powerful enough for most tastes and uses in the home. Another noticeable difference of the SoundTouch is its lack of a front display.

Where to use SoundTouch 10 pairs

This speaker is ideal for a smaller room, like a bathroom, or for a bedside table. Coupled up, they could also work great as a stereo speaker set in a living room, without taking up too much space.

The Bose SoundTouch 10 two-pack would also work well as a set of speakers in a media room, TV room or entertainment area, as the speakers are plenty loud and powerful enough on their own, so combined, they’ll add depth to your audio system.

How they sound

I had a chance to review the full Bose SoundTouch line previously, and I can tell you the audio quality is outstanding, as consumers have come to expect from Bose.

Whether it was music or podcasts, as well as listening to internet radio, everything sounded great. Voices were true and not tinny, and music sounded full and rich.

Why choose a duo?

Isn’t two always better than one? Two speakers make a natural pair for beautiful stereo sound, and provide more versatility; use them together for a party, or split them up for different uses in the kids’ room, kitchen, media room, or the master suite.

Saving a bit of dough on the price doesn’t hurt either!
