PlayStation in-store demo days at Best Buy Canada this May

PlayStation in-store demo days are coming to Best Buy Canada in May. Between May 10 and May 11, you can come to participating stores to be one of the first people in Canada to play a demo of Activision’s upcoming kart racing remaster Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. Then, later in the month, May 24, 25, and 31st, you can come to experience the lifelike and immersive worlds that only the PlayStation VR can offer.

Let’s first take a look at Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, see what it’s all about, and the where you can play the demo. Then, we’ll talk about PlayStation VR, and I’ll give you all the details about when and were you can try it out in store.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled demo

After the successful launch of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, many gamers were wondering what’s next for the orange marsupial hero. It only seemed natural that Crash Team Racing, the fourth installment in the Crash Bandicoot series, would be the next title to get the remaster treatment. Then, at the 2018 Game Awards, Activision announced that indeed Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled was coming for the PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One on June 21, 2019.

Just like Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is rebuilt from the ground up. Developed by Beenox in Quebec, Crash Team Racing Nitro-fueled uses new assets, includes online play, and has new content. What excites me most about the game is the new content being added.

We can expect to see new tracks, battle arenas, combat modes from Crash Nitro Kart, and kart customizations. Furthermore, just last week, it was announced that that game is getting a new character. The new unlockable character is none other than the boss from the original game, Nitros Oxide.

PlayStation VR demo days

Towards the end of May, select Best Buy Canada stores will have PlayStation VR demos and there will be a variety of games available to try. Every time I play PlayStation VR, I get more and more impressed with Sony’s virtual reality hardware. It’s unbelievable! You won’t believe how lifelike, immersive, and varied the game worlds are.

During the demo, you’ll be equipped with a PlayStation VR headset, a PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 Wireless Controller or PlayStation Move Motion Controllers, and headphones. Experience the thrill, and action of 360-degree visuals and audio. That means you can look to the side, or even look behind you. You’ll feel the rush of high-adrenaline gaming!

Games available to demo include Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, Tetris Effect, and Beat Saber. As someone who has been enjoying PlayStation VR over the last 2 years, I can definitely say there are tons of incredible experiences waiting for you.
