CBS’s “The Talk” host Aisha Tyler was back again this year to MC Ubisoft’s E3 2015 press conference, and what a show it was! Ubisoft always brings something new for gamers each E3, and this year was no exception. From brand new IPs, to the latest entry in your favourite Ubisoft franchises, this press conference had it all. Let’s look at the games!
At their E3 press conference, Ubisoft unveiled a brand new IP being developed by their acclaimed Montreal studio–For Honor. This game looked epic, with grand scale battlefields filled with visceral melee combat and gory death scenes. In the game you’ll be able to choose from three different classes, iron-clad knights, brutal vikings, or disciplined samurais. This will be a fast-paced, competitive experience, so get ready to choose your class and play with your friends!
South Park: The Fractured But Whole
Ubisoft brought out a whole slew of celebrity guests, starting off with none other than Trey Parker and Matt Stone, creators of South Park. They came out and said that although they initially weren’t interested in making another video game, they has a good blueprint with South Park: The Stick of Truth and decided to make a sequel. Yes, that’s right, another South Park game is coming, and it’s called South Park: The Fractured But Whole!
Tom Clancy’s The Division
More gameplay footage of Ubisoft’s hotly anticipated Tom Clancy’s The Division was also shown at their E3 press conference. They said the game is powered by their fully next-gen Snowdroop engine, and from what I saw it’s capable of producing incredibly beautiful graphics. The Division takes place in an open world New York built from the ground up for co-operative multiplayer action. If you like shooter games, you’ll want to keep this game high on your radar!
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege
Another Tom Clancy game was shown off–Rainbow Six: Siege–and it’s going to be available this fall! In a big surprise, actress Angela Bassett came out on stage to say she’s in the game and will play the role of the siege team commander. Under her command, you’ll choose from a range of siege operators, each with their own unique looks and abilities, as you infiltrate enemy bases that are fully destructible!
Just Dance 2016
Available on: Xbox One, PS4, Wii U, Wii, Xbox 360, PS3
The celebrity appearances weren’t over yet! Ubisoft also brought out award winning music artist Jason Derulo who perform his latest hit “Want to Want Me” live! It was all for Ubisoft’s big announcement that Just Dance 2016 will be coming to all major game platforms this fall. Not only will it include the latest hits from today’s top artists, but coinciding with the launch will be Just Dance Unlimited, a new subscription streaming service that lets you play your favorite hits from past Just Dance games (accessible on Wii U, PS4, XboxOne).
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate
No Ubisoft press conference would be complete without mentioning the latest Assassin’s Creed game! This year’s edition, named Assassin’s Creed Syndicate sets you in the London, 1868, during the Industrial Revolution. The trailer shown at E3 gave us a look at Jacob Frye, a new leader of the Assassins, along with his twin sister Evie. In the game you’ll gather supporters to form your own gang, and then take back the streets of London!
Ubisoft sure did host an exciting E3 press conference this year. They showed us lots of great action and role-playing games to look forward to this year, and beyond!
