Keep up on all of the great gaming announcements at E3 right here on the blog.]

Best Buy gives away amazing prizes every year in June to celebrate gaming during the week of E3. This years gaming event promises to be huge! As always, E3 will present the hottest new games from the biggest players in the industry. Also expect to see a lot from both Xbox and PlayStation since both have new consoles in 2017. To help you celebrate Best Buy will be giving away amazing Xbox One prizes, and PlayStation prizes, and many, many games.

Best Buy will be at E3 and you can follow our coverage on Twitter, and Instagram. We will also have extensive coverage on the blog: Best Buy Gaming Editor Paul Hunter will be at the show submitting stories, photos and videos from the conference floor.

This should be a very exciting E3. I know I can’t wait to hear more about Microsoft’s Project Scorpio and especially 4K gaming! Many people are dying to hear about updates to their favourite games. Enter this contest and you may win a new console to play that game on.

Here are some of the prizes you can win:

Xbox One S and PlayStation 4 Pro consoles: the newest consoles so you can play the newest games. Place it in your movie room to take advantage of the many other options these provide for all of your entertainment needs.

Each console will come with a great selection of the best games recently released: What good is a new console if you don’t have new games. Also everyone has their favourite games and game genres, so one or two games are simply inadequate! Each console will come with a minimum of seven games. You should have no problem getting into at least a couple of them and perhaps even discover a new favourite!

And we know gamers pick favourites. That’s why we are including one entry method that encourages you to share your favourite games with everyone else.

  2. Games take a long time to make, and when they spark a sense of adventure, then it’s something we can all relate to. Of course it’s Breath of the Wild, but how can it not be? I still remember as a child, running into the bush outside of the park, discovering streams, rocks and even other kids while creating and adventure. That’s a feeling I deeply relate to. Now more than ever I’ve gotten to have that feeling once again and to my surprise everyone I talked to is feeling the same way. Not often can you have an amazing experience and know that your friends are also on the same page. We may be playing alone, but we’re all writing our own stories in this game.

Also, I pre-ordered this game before the Nintendo Switch even existed. It’s easily my favorite if only that it survived seeing the store I ordered it from shut down!

    Cheers.

  3. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. At first I wasn’t to crazy about the combat. As I went through it, I started seeing the combat was fluid and solid in allowing the player to use melee attacks to signs and more. The story is amazing and the characters, both main and side, feel real – from their movements, facial expressions and dialogue.

  4. I think resident evil 7 biohazard is one of the best resident evil games I have seen and played. It’s a great return to what the series is at its core especially after its previous entry.

  5. World of Warcraft. Although a PC game, its super important to me because it’s the first game my husband and I really played together. Now we’re patiently awaiting the arrival of our player 3 and will likely be introducing him to all of our favourite games.

  6. My favourite recent release is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch. (http://m.bestbuy.ca/defaultpage.aspx?lang=en#/catalog/productdetails.aspx?ajax=true&lang=en-ca&pcname=&sku=10440782)

Mario Kart is a classic series, that constantly looks for ways to create more chaos and fun. Sometimes the ideas are great, and sometimes they are better off as a one-time deal. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, however, takes all the great ideas that were introduced in Mario Kart 8 (Wii U) and adds on even more. New items like King Boo can ruin an opponents plan, new characters like the Inkling Kids can help you find the perfect set-up for your play style, as well as the new vehicles. However, the best part is that BATTLES ARE BACK! Online or on the couch with friends. Between Battles and the wide range of race courses from past (and current) Mario Kart entires, this game really feels like it’s the full Mario Kart experience.

I’d love to see a similar game on PS4 or XBox. Hey, maybe we’ll see a Crash Team Racing remaster at E3!

  7. Horizon Zero Dawn.
The combat is robust, but accessible. The graphics are drop-dead gorgeous. The story is engaging from start to finish. I’m so excited to see what GG does for the sequel, because they set it up extremely well. What a fantastic game.

  8. A game I enjoy is Horizon would love to play that game in 4k! Love the side quests and the machines
