5 tips to create a home cinema 

During most of the year, I enjoy getting outside as much as I can. However, as the days get shorter and rain holds steady in the forecast (at least in British Columbia), one of my favourite ways to relax and unwind is to watch a movie or TV show. I recently got a small projector, helping me create a cinema experience in my home and have been loving it. If you’re also looking to create a home cinema, here are a few things to consider to enhance your experience.

1. Get a modern TV or projector 

Your TV is the centrepiece of your home cinema. Chances are you already own one. But if you’re looking to upgrade your home theatre by adding an awesome sound bar to your setup, why not get an awesome TV too for stunning resolution that matches the outstanding sound quality you’ll get out of the Bose sound bar? 2. Upgrade your sound quality

4. Mount your TV 

Something else to consider when designing your home theatre is getting a TV mount so you can position your TV for the best views. Whether you simply want to be able to tilt your TV or would like to be able to adjust it at a custom angle, there’s a TV mount for you depending on how much flexibility you need. 

5. Play with lighting

Finally, smart lighting can help you set the right ambiance for your movie nights. With smart light bulbs, you can control and change the brightness and colour using your phone. Some smart lamps even take it a step further and can be programmed to match the hue of what you’re watching on TV in real-time for an immersive experience.

  4. Since my TV broke down about a month ago, I’ve had to revert to an old school projector of mine that plays sound through a small Bluetooth speaker. All the connectivity and tech stuff “sound” great, but it’s the immersive experience is what I’m most excited for. Hopefully the feel of the transducers, the clarity of the Dolby Atmos and the accompaniment of Alexa and Google Assistant will help drown out the deafening sound of loneliness.

  32. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2, and Spotify Connect offer multiple ways to connect wirelessly so you can stream your favourite channels and playlists. This would be so simple to play anything on the soundbar and I’m sure it will have amazing sound quality!
