Philips Hue have revolutionized home lighting. We all grew up with few real lighting options in our home. Light on the ceiling, switch on the wall. On or off. In a few cases it may have had a dimmer switch, but that was rare. That light in the lamp brightens a room with the flick of a switch. That’s been a simple, convenient way to illuminate dark spaces inside and out. However, Philips Hue has increased the convenience exponentially. Increase the flexibility of home lighting, and even made home lighting fun! Enter our Philips Hue lights contest and find out for yourself how easily you can transform rooms in your home with Philips Hue.
Imagine what you can do with Philips Hue
I’m amazed at some of the creative applications people have found for Philips Hue. They installed light strips under counters and furniture for cool, colourful effects. They’ve added Philips Hue outdoors for safety, and for fun during festive days: go orange at the end of October, red and green in December!
People have also taken advantage of how other smart tech “plays nice” with Philips Hue. So you can control your lights using any smartphone since it works with Android and Apple products, or control with your voice using Google home or Amazon Echo—as I wish all tech was!
Importantly, Philips Hue is not just a colourful add-on to your existing “normal lighting.” In fact, you may be surprised that most of those ordinary lights in your home can be replaced with smart, multi-functional Philips Hue lights. Imagine you walk into the kitchen at 2:00 in the morning and you simply say, “Alexa, turn kitchen lights on at 20%,” and you have soft lighting as you let the dog outside. Or you drive home and as you approach the driveway, your outside lights, and inside light, turn on automatically!
Explore what’s possible with Philips Hue
This Philips Hue lights contest will give 4 lucky winners the opportunity to explore how Philips Hue can transform their home. Each winner will a prize package that includes a selection of 4 new Philips Hue lights for their home. The prizes include wall lights, ceiling light, table lights—there’s even an outdoor light strip. Some of the lights enable you to choose from a whole rainbow of colours; others are designed for soft or bright illumination. And there are a variety of styles in the prize list, including a Philips Hue Integrated LED Smart Wall Mirror.

Definitely philips hue white ambiance A19 and a dimmer switch to put in my bedroom! Makes it so much easier to turn off/ adjust lighting when I’m in bed
My son loves turning on the Philips bulb with our google assistant we have in the basement. Helps him not be afraid of the dark!
The hue integrates great with our assistant and its fun to set it to different colors over the holidays!
I would like to use the Philips Hue Go Portable Light, or any of the bulbs. My wife and I just had a baby, and in the middle of the night when we needs to feed it would be nice to have a light that can be dimmed and go with the mood, or even gradually turn on and off as to not startle her. Currently the night light that we use is not bright enough and if we use the main bedroom light, it’s too bright (Especially if both of us don’t need to be awake :P)
Light strips for sure… my under cabinet lighting just died on me!
Livingroom, kitchen, basement, bedroom. I’ve got normal hue everywhere else would love something different. Plus this would be a great birthday present to me 😉
It would be amazing to add the Philips Hue strip lighting under my kitchen cabinets. The light could be adjusted to bright for cooking and then change the hue and dim it down for a romantic dinner with the wife.
I would love the hue go or a table lamp for my bedside table.
It would be nice to get more white bulbs for rooms in the house!
I love the Philips Hue Adore LED smart ceiling light, it’ll be great for my bathrooms.
Smart mirror for my main hallway for sure.
I just got a hue color bulb and I think I’m hooked, I’d love to kick my parties up a notch with my own personal light show using the Hue light bar!
I find the new outdoor hue lily spotlights to be very interesting as they open up a whole new area to play with lights and ambiance. They would be awesome for Christmas and for Halloween!
Smart ceiling lights are cool, also Hue light stripes will create nice ambience.
I’d like to kick my parties up a notch with my own personal light show using Hue color led bulbs and a light bar, they look awesome!
Smart mirror for main entrance.
I will choose the starting kit for my living room
I’d love the Philips Hue White Ambiance Fair Dimmable LED Smart Suspension Fixture for the sitting room in my small condo. I bet it’d bring a tonne of light to the small space!
I really want the outdoor light strip!!!!! And also the mirror light D: !!! I already have a couple light strips and bulb but it would be a dream to have the whole house decked out !!!!! <3
I would like to replace my basement pot lights for more ambiance and atmosphere during game night and D&D sessions, but my next purchase will likely be one of the exterior options to automatically come on when we arrive home for the safety of my wife and child.
My favourite is the Philips hue play. It’d go great with my gaming setup and I’d aim it at the wall right behind my monitor.
I would use the A19 kit for my room to help me wake up in the morning with the wake up routine.
I like the mirror. Could use it in my master bedroom or in my washroom!
I’ve been really wanting a LightStrip to go behind/around my TV or computer monitor to enhance the movie and gaming experience
I like the wall lamp. I would definitely have it on my bedroom wall by my bed. Would love to connect it to my Google Home and have the convenience of adjusting and turning the lamp on and off by voice.
I’d love to bring my paintings to life with the Hue light strips, also to be able to wake up to a sunrise at my preferred hour would be a treat!
Light strip definitely
I’d love to have the Philips Hue White Ambiance Fair Dimmable LED Smart Suspension Fixture for the sitting area in my small condo. I bet it’d bring a tonne of light to the space!
Living in a basement I don’t get any natrual sunlight, I’d love to be able to wake up to a gradual hue sunrise or tone down the night with a sunset!
Love the indiviadual bulbs that I can control to create focal point around my house… just like in a movie studio set studio
I’d just get a regular A19 lightbulb, but I’d set it up to imitate the sunset and sunrise to help my kids fall asleep and wake up more naturally.
Woooowww this stater kit would be awesome for me since I just bought 2 Google minis at Best Buy yesterday!!! I would make my bedroom and living room shine bright with those!
Phillips Hue Lightstrip Plus 80″ & Extension would brighten up my Kitchen.
Definitely the hanging suspension light to replace our hideous and outdated 60’s spaceship light over the dining room table.
The A19 Colour starter kit is what I haven’t eye on. I’d set them up in our living room to help set the mood.
I would put the light strip around the back of my desk in my office to match with my computer and peripherals.
I would put a Go or 2 in my bathroom to get that sensual glow for those intimate moments. ^_^
I am interested in several of the products- particularly the signe floor lamp, the ceiling flush mount and the sconce. Unfortunately, none are in stock at my local store, and the floor lamp is not on your website yet- so I am waiting to actually see the products. By the way, I would like to see Phillips increase the lumens in its new ceiling lights.
I have been wanting to do a lighting system that works with my Google Home. So If I was to win I would love the clour starter pack and another 16 color bulbs, the colour light strips would add some pop to my office.
Phillips Hue Lightstrip will definitely be my first purchase, it would showcase my entertainment center.
Lighting stript around my tv would be amazing
I would get the Philips Hue Light Strips to decorate the Christmas tree which is placed in my condominium.
I need this to start
Philips Hue White & Colour A19 Starter Kit
Philips Hue Integrated LED Smart Wall Mirror 100%…. How cool is that???
The hue go lamp would make an awesome light for my end tables in my living room!
I already have Philips hue in my living room and bedroom, my next goal is to add Philips hue light strips under my kitchen cabinets to add more lighting in my kitchen… And more awesomeness.
Since I live with my grandparents, they tend to get up frequently throughout the night to go to the bathroom. I would combine the light strips with Phillip’s own motion sensor to light up the hallway, so that they won’t have to walk in the dark.
I would like to add a couple of the Hue Wellness Table lamps to my growing hue collection – for our bedside tables!
Would love to play with the outdoor lights (any of them) for the ice rink I’m building for the kids in the back yard. But adding some fun color would make my kids day!
I want to use the lightstrip behind my tv
I would like the lightstrips and have them placed along my kitchen counter, this will greatly complement the philips hue A19 currently used as kitchen lights.
