When I was a child, I wanted to be a dentist despite the fact that I hated going to one. A friend of mine wanted to be a fire truck. Not a fire fighter. The truck. Something just about all of us wanted to do at one point or another, however, was go live at Disneyland, Disney World or somewhere in the world of Disneyana. We’ve since grown up and realized this isn’t actually possible, however, Disney Magical World aims to take our old dreams and ambitions and turn them into something. Disney Magical World answers the question of what life might look like if you DID, in fact, live with your friends and favorite Disney characters in the town of Castleton. Gather round ye fans of MMO’s, Fantasy RPG’s and The Elder Scrolls alike, for the convergence is nigh!  Or, put in english, The Elder Scrolls Online will be out in less than a week! It feels like the MMO space has been waiting for something to come along and redefine it, others have tried, and it might be that Bethesda and Zenimax are up to the job, they certainly have game development chops and a world that’s right for it. The game Putty Squad has a pretty screwy life cycle.  Originally released in 1994 for the Super Nintendo in PAL (outside North America) regions, it had review copies released for the Amiga, but Ocean Entertainment started to move away from publishing, and never released it.  Almost two decades passed, and Putty Squad was almost released for Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita and then FINALLY debuted for Amiga last year.  Putty Squad is now available in North America for Playstation 4, having been a rest of the world launch title.  Then, it will be released on Playstation 3 and Vita at the end of this month.  Was that confusing enough?  Hopefully the review isn’t.  Click on to read about Putty Squad.

You can always count on Sony to keep the titles coming after a generational shift. Ever since moving from the PS1, they’ve supported their last gen hardware, and proving nothing has changed are two very different RPG titles, and a fighter.  Whether its the JRPG stylings that capture your fancy, of if you prefer a more Diablo-esque hack, slash, and loot-athon, we’ve got a bit of both, with The Witch and The Hundred Knight and Atlier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk.

Long before Mario was super, he was transported as a baby to Yoshi Island where the Yoshis had to protect him from the wizard Kamek.  Your adventure is as the various Yoshis in 6 different worlds protecting Baby Mario from being snatched into the hands of evil, as it is believed he will be trouble for Bowser as a grown-up.  Kamek got one thing right:  Mario IS going to be trouble for Bowser, but can you get him to safety and adulthood where he can then save the world?  Yoshi’s New Island is the latest installment of the franchise, and is available now.  Click on to read the review of this family friendly title.

The first real big Sony Exclusive for the PS4, InFamous is back with its Second Son (and third major release!). Traipse about Seattle… wait, did I say ‘traipse’? I meant navigate, teleport, and otherwise move with awesome looking super powers across a fantastically rendered Emerald City as you fight against a heinous, superpower hating, military corps!  Its time to decide what sort of supe you’ll be, with Infamous: Second Son!

A couple years after it was originally announced, and a couple of delays in the making, the next installation of the long-running Ninja Gaiden series is ready to go.  Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z released this week and features the familiar frantic melee combat you’ve come to appreciate from the series with a 21st century spin: Zombies.  What is the game all about?  Click on to find out.

If you’re eager, but impatient for the release of Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain, Hideo Komjima and Konami have you covered. Taking place after MGS: Peace Walkers, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes sets up the events of Phantom Pain, and explores some new gameplay ideas. Being called tense and grittier than previous titles, Ground Zeroes seems to be setting up more than just the next major title, but perhaps a new direction for the series as well.
