Between my dog and the dogs I foster I would use a Dyson to vacuum my main floor. I can’t seem to find a vacuum that will pick up all the hair!
I have a toddler so every room!! but seriously I would probably use this most in the kitchen because I feel like I live in there making meals and snacks daily. I also like that it is lightweight and we have 3 floors so traveling with this and being cordless will be a breeze compared to other vacuums. you are correct when you say that they are “historically, rather bulky and loud to me.” This is my biggest pet peeve about vacuuming making it my least favourite chore. This would make my life much easier and a little less stressful. My son has sensory issues with noise and the vacuum is one of his things that stress him out. I would love to see if this would be a solution.
