Finally after months of waiting, the event that our gaming customers have been waiting for is here: E3 week! Every year during E3 there are great announcements of new games, new features in games you love, and so much more. Check out our E3 hub for great deals from Best Buy, and great information from the show. Best Buy’s fantastic E3 2019 Gaming offers will be live as of June 7th.
Best Buy will be sending bloggers Jon Scarr and Mélanie Boutin-Chartier to Los Angeles to report on all of the announcements, and capture images and video from the press events (that begin on the weekend prior to the actual show) and from the showroom floor during the event from June 11 to 13th. What gaming announcement are you most excited about this year? Perhaps it’s a new version of a game from your childhood. Alternatively, it may be a recently released game that was demoed at last year’s show. This may be the year when you discover something new that quickly becomes a new favourite. With the rapidly changing gaming landscape thanks to new streaming options you may have recently changed where and when you play games.

I’m really excited for The Avengers Project from Square Enix. From what I’ve seen it looks like a lot of fun and I’m so excited to learn more about it. I grew up on the marvel cinematic universe and I can’t wait to have a video game where I can play as them.
I am excited about Nintendos new game Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening!!!
The gaming announcement that has me most excited and is so important to me is in 2019 is the game Call of Duty Modern Warfare by Activision because the first console game I ever played was Call of Duty MW3 and I loved it. I feel this reboot will be a huge comeback for the Call of Duty Franchise.
Without a doubt, Borderlands 3. I could never get the same satisfaction from Destiny or Division.
I’m excited about Nintendo’s Mario Maker 2. Super Mario Bros. 3 is my wife’s favourite game, so now I’ll be able to trick her into playing more Mario levels by making them look like SMB3!
The first game I ever bought was borderlands 2 on Xbox; now, gearbox is launching the next chapter the same year I’m : graduating from university, Getting married, starting my new job & moving across the country. Excited to see how it turns out
Rockstar games will be releasing the game Grand Theft Auto 6 sometime next year and I am so excited about it. I own all the pervious Grand Theft Auto games and have finished them all. Rockstar is always on top of their game when it comes to attention to detail and I can’t wait to find out what GTA 6 holds.
Baldurs gate iii from larian is sounding really promising after today’s announcement.
I am excited about Nintendos new game Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. This important to me because I played all of the zeldas growing up with my brothers to complete all of the games.
As someone who’s had every Playstation console, I am sad that Sony will not be having a conference this year but always look forward to the EA presentation. Star Wars Jedi Fallen!! I hope we finally get the star wars game we all want and deserve to have!! Activision, Bethesda, Square Enix, Nintendo, EA… COD Modern Warfare, Pokemon, Star Wars, the new Marvel game! Shut up and take my money!!
I’m really looking forward to the new Samurai Shodown from SNK. It’s an old fighting game franchise that’s finally being brought into the current generation after 10 or so years since its previous installment. While the new game still follows an old formula, I think it’s a much needed change of pace in today’s market for fighting games.
The fighting game genre’s been notoriously hard to get into for newcomers due to its high learning curve, especially as most modern fighters place a huge emphasis on players being able to perform long, flashy combos at competitive levels of play. Many people are put off by the thought of having to spend hours memorizing and drilling combos into their muscle memory just to even have a fighting chance against anyone they play with. Samurai Shodown, historically, has been a more methodical, slower kind of fighting game. It places its emphasis on spacing, timing, and reading your opponent instead. Combos are few and far in between, and carelessly throwing out attacks will leave you wide open to retaliation from your opponent. The emphasis on single, well placed attacks is so strong that a single move could potentially deal 80% of a life bar, and a round can be won with just a few hits landed.
There’s a lot of thinking and decision making beneath all the flashy combos we’re used to seeing nowadays in fighting games, and Samurai Shodown is a series that really distills that deep thinking aspect to a very clear form. I’m hoping that this game will allow those new to and interested in fighting games to more easily see what makes them great, and that it’ll get more people to be interested in playing. The fighting game genre’s kind of always been kind of in a rocky place, and apart from Smash Bros, most other fighting games don’t usually sell too well or last too long. It would be nice if Samurai Shodown could be a gateway to bringing more players into the community so that we can liven things up even more!
So excited about Marvel’s Avengers game by Square Enix because I know my son would totally love this game. Love superhero games!
I am very excited for Pokemon Sword/Shield from Nintendo and Game Freak. New generation of Pokemon are my favorite games, just love seeing the new designs they come up with! Also, Pokemon Home is going to be awesome being able to combine all my Pokemon from Lets Go and Pokemon Go as well!
Ok… Second time writing this. The game that has me most excited is Cyberpunk 2077 (by makers of Witcher 3), having loved the RPG game growing up. The Marvel’s Avengers looks pretty good too! Kids are excited about both the Pokemon Sword and Shield game and the new Animal Crossing. May be a tough time finding an opportunity to play with all the new content on the way that seems to be something for everyone! Thank you for opportunity to win some fun looking systems.

Death Stranding for sure. It looks and sound like no other game ever, comes from Kojima, a guy known to deliver top notch games, and will be released on PS4 first and they had a track record for the past few years of delivering high quality single player experiences.

I am most looking forward to new game announcements that we havent heard about yet. Pokemon Sword and Shield really caught my eye, in my younger days I spent alot of time with Pokemon Blue/Yellow but havent been able to enjoy the newer ones due to not owning the system. As a proud owner of a Nintendo Switch as of this year, I’m excited to try the franchise once again!
I am excited for Nintendo and hoping to see new updates at E3 on Metroid Prime 4 and Shin Megami Tensei 5. I am a huge fan of the series and bought the switch for games like these!!!
I’m most excited for Star Wars Fallen Jedi, because EA has been a disaster with the Star Wars license, and his has been forever since we had a great non-LEGO Star Wars title. So I’m hoping that Respawn’s new game brings me back to when a new Star Wars game meant something fun, not a mediocre cash grab.
I’m so hype for Super Mario Maker 2! I don’t have a WiiU so I never had the chance to play Mario Maker. I’ve seen so many twitch players tried to beat level everyone in the world create! Some are just SO SO SO out of my expectations. Some people have huge imagination and are real engineers. I now have a switch and waiting for Mari Maker 2 since it was announced. They add so many things in the second version. Nintendo still does awesome games and will always be my favorite games to play.
I am really looking forward to the Square Enix presentation for Final Fantasy 7 remake details. The last few weeks have really improved the outlook of the game and I want it to succeed very badly! Or at least meet my own lofty expectations of what it should turn out like.
I invested more of my childhood than is healthy in that game when it came out over 20 years ago, and it’s influence is still with me today. If I didn’t already own a console it would be a system seller for me.
I am most excited for new console announcements and more information on Final Fantasy VII Remake.
What excites me the most is the Final Fantasy 7 Remake by Square Enix. Square Enix have shown exciting trailers beforehand, and I do hope to hear more announcements about it! The Final Fantasy games has been a part of my childhood and I found it is so important to me I will be able to play them again! Final Fantasy 7 has been one of these childhood memories which I would what to keep with me. I look forward in more announcements in the remake of Final Fantasy 7.
Looking forward to finding out a bit more about Fire emblem three houses by intelligent systems for Nintendo switch, played every game since they’ve come to NA so excited to see what the next entry has in store!
I’m most excited for new 343 Industries Halo for xbox one or xbox two(next gen system), its been years since they came out with a new one especially feature Master Chief. Can’t wait to see what they do next with multiple player. The Halo stories have always been amazing and playing coop always brings back amazing memories.
Marvel’s ultimate Alliance is the game that has me the most excited. Square Enix and Nintendo usually make a great combo and I love the whole series of games and even the X-Men Legends games as well.
It’s one game I can’t wait to play and the most anticipated game on the switch for me.

Looking forward to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for PS4, it’s been far too long since we had a good Jedi related Star Wars game, that’s honestly the reason why I ever played Star Wars games, Jedi and light sabers. Respawn Entertainment has a really good track record with games like Titan Fall and Apex Legend, I feel they’ll do the game justice and give fans what the want/need! I hope I can relive some of the cool memories I had as a teen playing as a Jedi in Jedi Academy.
I’m super pumped for more info on the Marvel’s Avengers game from Square Enix & Crystal Dynamics. It sounds amazing. I’m also very curious to see if Playstation mentions or teases anything about PS5.
The game I am most excited about at E3 is the Square Enix remake of Final Fantasy VII as it is one of my favorite classics and it would be very interesting to relive the experience with updated graphics!
I’m most excited about the possible announcement of an animal crossing game for the switch from Nintendo. I loved that game series since I first played wild world on the DS.
I’m super excited for DOOM: Eternal from Bethesda. In 2016, they relaunched the DOOM franchise and playing that reboot of the series was one of the most fun gaming experiences I’ve ever had and it’s now one of my favourite games ever. I can’t recommend it enough. This year, we get the sequel and it looks like they’ve made it better in every possible way. I CAN’T WAIT.
I’m most excited about Square Enix’s remake of Final Fantasy 7 for the PlayStation 4. I remember countless nights my cousin and I would stay up late grinding it out; trying to 100% the game. Final Fantasy 7 really sparked my love of JRPGS with it’s dramatic story and tough gameplay. Can’t wait for the remakes release date at E3! Nostalgia… I’m psyched!
The gaming announcement that has me the most excited in 2019 is Activision’s announcement for the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for Xbox One on October 25th. This announcement is important to me because the game will feature cross-play across Xbox One, PS4. and PC which will enable all players to join in together.
Can’t wait for Madden 20!!! EA sports does a fantastic job creating these games!

I’m really excited to learn more about Death Stranding on the PS4 by Kojima Productions.
I’m excited for a lot of games this year. 2019 is shaping up to be a great year for gaming. I’m most excited for Death Stranding from Kojima Productions. It looks intriguing and I trust Kojima to put out a quality game. Plus, he says it is going to be a new genre of gaming, which is always exciting to hear. Let’s see what Kojima Productions pull off.
Borderlands 3 for PC is hype. We have been waiting for this for so long and with edition to Crossplay I’ll be able to play with my friend who only has an xbox. Gearbox is a great developer and took their time with this game to make sure it was great.
I’m excited for the new Pokemon sword and shield made by from Nintendo and Game Freak! While Sun and Moon had its innovations, I didn’t enjoy it as much. Sword and shield on the other hand, being based in the UK makes me really excited, especially with its football themed gyms.
I can’t wait to see the new Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order game by Resawn Entertainment. I hope they bring out a ton more footage and some gameplay! As a diehard star wars fan who is eagerly waiting for the end if the triligy in December I’m hoping this will not only be an amazing game but also tease the next line-up of movies in the works!
