Earlier this month we gave away some of the top laptops of the year. Now we are giving away two of the top televisions. Learn about the new Samsung TVs, then enter for a chance to win.

Why you should be looking at Samsung TVs in 2023

Have you looked at the range of TVs on display at a Best Buy store these days? I have. Impressive. Almost all of them are LED TVs, though there are a range of types of LED TVs. In the store your eyes will first be drawn to the stunning Samsung Frame TVs. We gave one of these away earlier this year on the blog. Then you’ll look at some of the other types of LEDs and, if you are like most people, you’ll be confused by the terms: OLED, QLED, and Neo QLED. All three are great. All three do some things better than other things. For example, OLEDs have the best blacks thanks to individual self-lighting pixels. QLED has the best brightness (great for bright rooms) thanks to the backlighting. Neo QLEDs are the best combination thanks to their arrays of mini-LED backlighting. Samsung QLED and Neo QLEDs have other advantages too including lower costs.

Why do you want a new TV this fall

Each year, the fall season seems to usher in not just pumpkin spice lattes and sweater weather, but also a surge in people bringing home new TV sets. Here are the top two reasons why:

1. New models and clearance sales

Television manufacturers often release new models in the spring and summer so by fall, these new releases have had time to be reviewed so you know which ones to buy. This not only help you make more informed decisions but also puts pressure on retailers to clear out older inventory to make room for the next generation of models. So whether you are looking for the best new TVs or last year’s models at significant savings, this is the best time of year.

2. Ready for holiday entertainment and sports events

The fall season is a precursor to major holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve, all of which are synonymous with family gatherings and home entertainment. People anticipate needing a better or bigger TV to host movie marathons, special broadcasts, and, of course, holiday specials. Additionally, fall is a significant season for sports with the NFL, NBA, and NHL seasons bringing excitement into our homes. The lure of watching big games and key matchups on a shiny new screen can be hard to resist.

Fall is a perfect storm of incentives; it’s the season not just for falling leaves but also for finding the perfect new TV for your home on television sets. And it’s the perfect time for us to have a contest giving two of the newest and best TVs away.

  3. In a comment beneath Shelly’s review of the QN90C, tell us how many hours of TV get watched in your home, and one thing that you learned about this television from Shelly’s review.

What you can win

At the end of this contest, we will randomly draw two winners. One will receive the Samsung QN90C TV that Shelly reviewed and the other will receive the Samsung Q70C TV that Shelly reviewed.

This contest runs from Sept 15th to Oct 1st.

  1. Our tv is fifteen years old, and at times we can barely see the screen.
    We love to watch all the shows on the History xhannel, and the news at noon.

  5. With fall come the NBA and NFL, perfect time to get a new large and crisp Samsung TV to enjoy the games in high quality picture. Not to say Yellowstone and the jaw dropping scenes of wild Montana.

  6. A 65 tv would be amazing to win!! The layer of quantum dots adds a level of depth and enhances the picture quality in a way that most LED TVs can’t achieve.

  7. Our tv is a big box tv and it’s from the 80’s. There’s no remote cause we lost it. We moved to a new home. With mortgage rates increasing, we couldn’t afford much new furniture so it would be great to win a new tv for our new home.

    -Sadly, I am separating from my partner and will need to get a new TV

    • I would like a new tv because in the last 25-years I have not owned or watched tv. I like to read, I have just about completed reading all my books, as such, I would like to watch HGTV and blue jays play some ball, I love the speed of the tv.

  45. My plasma TV is getting a bit long in the tooth uses quite a lot of power compared to the new TV’s, plus it isn’t 4K resolution. I’d watch Justified on Prime and the Oilers NHL hockey.
