In the last decade we have become a streaming society. Roku has been a huge part of the transition by enabling us to connect a small device to any television to instantly make it capable of showing anything we want to see. Their selection of channels was unmatched by any other streaming service. They added to this experience a few years ago when they improved the onscreen interface and added their own Roku channel. Suddenly you could find old favourites and new favourites quickly in one location.

It makes sense then that the newest iteration of Roku would introduce the ability for us to stream amazing audio too. In fact, when I hooked it up to try it out in my home, the first thing I streamed was Spotify, thinking, “Let’s hear how Eddie sounds on this speaker!” I have to say, Van Halen sounded pretty amazing!

  30. My favorite feature is the voice remote because I am disabled and unable to use a normal remote control. This would be perfect.

  31. I love that it is compact and can pretty much fit anywhere! Also It a true all in one entertainment device!

  33. Automatic volume control for those loud commercials is great but the small footprint and great audio are equally important for a setup in a smaller room.

  34. My favourite feature is the night listening as my husband likes to watch movies later in evening when others are sleeping so this is perfect.

  36. What I love about this new Roku is how the sound bar will enable my older tv to have better sound. Best of all it would replace a 5 year old Roku that I have been contemplating updating with a newer version.

  50. honestly this device confuses me. Where is the internet connection? how does it work as a soundbar when not used as a Roku?
