Each year in January there are many new smart home technologies announced at the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES). This year was no exception! During the 4-day digital event, the technology gurus from global brands showcased cutting-edge innovations designed to transform our lives. We too were virtually present to capture every moment at this year’s virtual tech show, including the smart home tech announced at CES. From security monitoring, smart lighting, and entertainment, to the latest and greatest appliances, we covered all the smart home innovations shown at CES 2021 on the blog. To celebrate the new year, we are giving away a huge selection of smart home devices that we previously wrote about on the blog. Read on to learn about some of my favorite CES announcements, then learn how to enter the contest.

The best tech at CES 2021

From smart lights, security cameras, touch-free doorbells, and smart locks, to magic remote for the TV, camera-equipped robot vacuums, and ice-cream makers, we saw a variety of new devices to make your life a little easier and more enjoyable. Let’s have a look at some of the best from CES:

Smart Lighting and Speakers

Philips Hue, one of the most trusted names in smart lighting, highlighted the light switches at CES 2021. The new battery-powered module installs behind your light switches to keep your lights reachable even when the switch is off. Smart speakers, including the Google Nest Hub and Amazon Show, are already one of the central features of the smart home. The newly announced Cleer Crescent smart speaker is perfect for the main hangout room. This smart audio speaker is powered by Google Assistant, boasting a beautiful crescent-shaped design that supports different audio modes and is equipped with eight 40mm full-range drivers and a pair of 3.3-inch woofers.

Home Security and Monitoring

TP-Link introduced six new smart home products to become available throughout 2021. D-Link announced multiple new products at this year’s CES. The one that grabbed the most attention was the D-Link Whole Home Smart Wi-Fi Water Sensor Kit. Arlo, the home security brand, highlighted two products—the Essential Indoor Camera with privacy shutter and the Touchless Video Doorbell. For a detailed overview of the products announced, read the latest and greatest smart home tech announced at CES 2021 article on the blog.

TV Technology

Samsung, Sony, and TCL all had impressive TV announcements, making TVs thinner, lighter, and more similar to integrated video portals, but LG announced an optimized OLED element that will serve up brighter and even more colour-accurate for its 2021 model OLED TVs. Check out the latest and greatest TV tech announced at CES 2021 on the blog.
