Holiday music is in the air, and many people will be creating their own using a Roland instrument. Roland keyboards and synths are used by professsional, amateur, and beginner musicians around the globe. You probably didn’t even know you could buy them at Best Buy. You can! And someone will win a brand new Roland FP-10 88 Key Weighted Action Digital Piano in this contest—just in time to play Jingle Bells with all in your social bubble, or on a video chat with the whole family singing along, Brady Bunch style!
Christmas music creates lifelong memories
My best holiday memories involve music. When I was a young lad, my mom would be on the piano all the time. She is a very talented keyboardist and piano teacher, so homemade holiday tunes were a non-stop part of my upbringing. As I grew up, my brothers and I played music together almost every day. Most of my holiday memories, therefore, involve playing holiday songs with my family at home, in church, and many other places.
Many people are creating those musical memories using Roland instruments. Even though I play guitar, I still use Roland tech in the form of Boss effects pedals (Boss is a division of Roland). This contest gives you an opportunity to bring Roland into your home just in time for Christmas!
Roland FP-10 Keyboards are more than just a digital piano
Digital pianos have come a long way, and Roland has been at the forefront of their evolution. The FP-10 is a great example of what you can expect from a premium Roland digital instrument. Piano purists might insist on having an acoustic instrument in their home—and that’s fine. However, many people prefer the consistency, versatility, and portability of a digital instrument: especially one like the FP-10 that very closely approximates the feel and tone of an acoustic.
We sent one of these digital pianos to Nikolai for an honest review. Watch his video and read his review to understand why he really liked this instrument.
Are you ready to gather around this piano with your family social bubble (and/or gather virtually on MS Teams or Zoom) for a holiday singalong? Carefully read the rest of this article for your chance to win.
How to enter
Entering this contest is easy, and you can enter once below this article and once below Nikolai’s review of this piano. In a comment, tell us who in your home will get the most use of this piano (first name only) and what holiday song you hope they will play first.
What you can win
At the end of this contest, we will randomly select one winner to receive a new Roland FP-10 88-Key Weighted Action Digital Piano.
This contest runs from Nov 24th until Dec 7th.
Remember, you can only enter once below this article and once below the review article for this piano. However, tell everyone in your family bubble to enter; this will increase your chances of someone you know winning this Roland Keyboard.
My wife Tiana would love this!
She adds her own twist to piano songs and I’m looking forward to hearing her rendition of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
My nephew would love this piano, oddly enough he’s gotten into it despite non of us really being all to musical but he’s already playing some fantastic songs that leave me super impressed!
Forgot to mention the first song he’d play would no doubt be megalomania from Undertale as he practices it every day!
My nephew Jayden would love this. I don’t know where he got it from but he loves playing the piano. Frosty the snowman man would be the first song.
I would be using it and the first song would be Silent Night
My son Eric would love this piano! I’d hope he’d play It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
My brother Eric would love this! I’d hope he’d play some Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
My older brother has wanted to relearn piano and see how much he remembers from his band practice days. This would be the perfect gift for him!
Myself (Alexander), and I would like to play “Santa Clause is coming to town”.
I would love to win this keyboard not for myself but for my father. My father is getting on in years however, the joys of
playing musical instruments has always been a pure joy for him. It is often the first thing that my father does when
he comes over for a visit is sit at my daughters little keyboard toy she received years ago for a gift. The funniest thing
is that my father plays all things by ear. My father would be just over the moon to receive such an amazing instrument
and I would be forever grateful to be able to give my dad the gift of music back to him because he has always provided
the family with many years of the sound of music.
My wife Megan has been looking at a new piano to play. She just showed me a video of her playing A Way in a Manger on her moms piano and it was BEAUTIFUL. I hope she plays that on Christmas morning with the kids.
Me and my wife Steph love piano, its hard to say which one of us would profit the most. We would love to play the classic Christmas songs during the holidays!
My sister Kylabel would definitely love this! She’s been playing digital piano since she was 9, she’s 22 now. This would be a perfect holiday surprise for her. She’s been wanting to get this particular digital piano, but she never got the chance to buy it. I would like to see her play the song “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” by Michael Bubble. Winning this and hearing the music that will be played will definitely complete the holiday feeling despite everything that happened this year! This would make the year ending a lot better.
Holy BestBuy, so many contests! How am I just now finding your blog. I’m almost afraid to comment and enter other contests because the samsung/series x contest is my unicorn, it would be like winning the lottery.
BUT, here I am, I just had to enter this one as well. I’ve always said I wanted to learn the piano, it’s definitely my favorite sound and get goosebumps every time I listen to any music that has it from Metallica, to Owl City and of course classical. Last year I almost purchased a keyboard to start learning, now that there are so many self learning tools available, but the price of a ‘real’ 88-key weighted keyboard (which is what I’d want to learn on, no messing around once I start lol) remains out of my budget.
Given the season, the first song I’d probably learn is twinkle twinkle little star 😀 Back in grade school I sung it during a school play, and really, it seems like it could be an easier song to learn (like single hand getting used to a piano easier).
Happy Holidays All!
My father would love to use this keyboard and his go to song would be starry night!
I would! (Aaron)
Grandma got ran over by a reindeer seems like a good start
My wife.
Santa Clause is coming to town.
My mom. Not sure what song she would play first.
Awesome prize! Thanks for the chance to win. I would be using this to entertain with Jingle Bells for sure. Inlov3 that it is portable and I could also take it along when volunteering to entertain seniors when it is safe to do so again,
My mom would play this constantly. I hope she’d start with The 12 Days of Christmas for a fun family sing along.
My son would use it and is currently learning the Harry Potter theme song.
I want to learn to play! I can’t sing but surely I can learn to play!
Here comes Santa Clause
My son Riyu, he’s 7 and has a musical heart! He loves the Home Alone theme song so I’m sure he would be excited to try and learn that. He currently is learning the pentatonic flute.
Mya would love this and I’d hope she would play accompanying music while I read the night before Christmas to our little angela
My son would get the most use out of this. He loves having fun with music and I can see him sitting at this for hours.
My wife would love this! And play Frosty the Snowman for the kids.
I would love this and play Silent Night!
My daughter would LOVE this! She has been asking for piano lessons. I would love to hear her play We Wish You A Merry Christmas!
Kevin would use this piano the most and I hope to first play the holiday song Let it Snow.
My 4 year old just learned Jingle Bells. He would definitely be jamming that all day every day (probably until easter!)
I nominate my son for this one(i’ll call him “DannerDan”). This 10 year old’s dream is to be a famous YouTuber! and I support him all the way. Crazy right? well, not really. I realized that because he’s set his bar so high, he challenges himself to create amazing graphics, videos, short films, animation, and now music. That’ right, he is a 10 year old that is learning this on his own. My only role in this is to provide him with the tools he needs to let his imagination run wild.
DannerDan, is going places. I couldn’t be more proud!
Oh, I forgot to mention what song he would sing… i should say sings all the time… “what a wonderful world” by Louis Armstrong. True, right?
my son morgan and hope she plays silent night first!
I would use this piano the most, I have always wanted this one, quality feel, sound and portable. I would probably play a jazzy version of Have yourself a merry little Christmas way too much. Hopefully, Myles will also play it and I’m guessing a funny version of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer would be his song of choice.
I think my little cousin Erica would use it most! she loves playing music! and i want to hear her play jingle bells.
I would use it and play the entire Christmas song catalogue for my entire family
My girlfriend would use it the most! It would be an awesome gift for her!
I (Rik) have been looking for a quality keyboard like this! I would for sure get the most use out of it at the start, but hoping to teach the family how to play 🙂 probably starting with something celebratory like joy to the world.
My son Vincent would love to play Silent night on this!
My daughter Sarah would love this piano and she would probably want to play O Come Emmanuel on it.
Our son, Michael would get the most use out of the Roland FP10 and I hope he’d learn my oddly favourite holiday song “Good King Wenveal as”
my Brother Thomas would love this. i want to play jingle bells on it
I think my brother Robert and i will tell him to play I’ll be home for christmas.
It would be Sara, my daughter and hopefully she will play a melodie from Pirates of the Caribbean.
Myself and i would love to play jingle bell
My brother and I will be the only ones playing unless cousins come over lol but have to wait for Covid 19 to end first! Will have to learn Spies by Coldplay okay I know thats not a holiday song but hey its one of my favorites! Best of luck to everyone entering.
I would play it and the holiday say I would play is Rudolf the red nose reindeer by “DMX”
I think my stepdaughter Zoe would love this! We could work together and learn Jingle Bells and from there see what else we can do!
I would like to learn, so I will get the most use and will play something simple – maybe Silent Night
My husband is the musician in our household
My son Aries would love this. Jingle bells would be the first song.
