XYZ printers are perfect for both personal and professional use. Easy to use and solidly built so you can begin creating immediately and develop your printing skills over time. They come in a variety of models, some especially designed for people new to the world of 3D printing. You’ll be creating a wide range of functional and fun projects in no time. This contest offers four XYZ printers, each aimed at a different technical skill level.

What can you do with an XYZ 3D printer

Unlike your traditional inkjet paper printer, XYZ printers print in 3 dimensions. Layer by layer the printer will build a huge range of items, from model figures from your favourite movies, to useful items for all areas of your home. Here are just a few of the great uses people have discovered for home 3D printers:

  1. Use the printer for prototyping. The XYZ printer allows you to quickly and easily create prototypes of your designs, so you can test and refine them before committing to production.
  2. Create custom gifts and decorations. The XYZ printer allows you to create personalized gifts and decorations, such as custom-made jewelry, ornaments, and figurines.
  3. Turn your ideas into reality. The XYZ printer makes it easy to bring your ideas to life, whether you’re a professional designer, artist, or just a hobbyist looking to try something new.

Yes they are novel but home printing of any type was novel just a couple decades ago. Now we all print documents for work and school: it’s normal and natural to do so. Similarly, 3D printing is taking off. It won’t be long before it will become natural to print a spatula when you need one, or to print a broken part for your car, rather than buying one off the internet.

How quickly can you learn to print with an XYZ Printer

Getting started with an XYZ Printer is pretty simple. Each printer comes with some starter filament so you can get going right away. You will also need a computer to run the included software that enables you to design your masterpiece, or use one of the thousands of designs available on the internet. The community of 3D printer enthusiasts shares their creations so you can do them yourself. The XYZ website also has a collection of these designs too: download them to your computer and begin creating amazing toys, tools, and more.

Quickly you will master the process and want to individualize your creations with colour filament of your choosing. We sent an XYZprinting Printer to Marcus for an honest review. Marcus had never tried 3D printing before; you will see that the included instructions were simple to follow; he quickly learned the process and printed several items. Each of the prizes we are giving away will come with an additional coloured spool of filament so you can immediately experiment with different colours. You can order many additional colours from bestbuy.ca as well.

How to enter

Entering this contest is easy and you can enter in two different ways.

  1. In a comment below, tell us what type of item would you want to start printing if you win one of these 3D printers.
  2. For up to two (2) additional entries, create a public post on a social media channel (one entry per channel!) sharing with your friends and followers that you are entering a Best Buy Blog contest for a chance to win a 3D printer; include the hashtag #BestBuy3DPrinterContest, so we can find your post, and include one of the pictures showing on this article. Then return here and tell us in a comment below on which channel you posted it and the name of your channel (since many people use pseudonyms) so that we can check and verify your entry. You can use any social media channel (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.), but the post must be public so we can verify it is there.

What you can win

At the end of this contest, we will select four (4) winners and each will receive one of these four XYZ Printing 3D printer prizes: da Vinci Jr. WiFi Pro, da Vinci nano w, da Vinci mini w+ (there are two of this model to be won).

This contest runs from January 3rd to January 17th.

  1. Oh I would make organizational helpers for my craft supplies – I’m sure the 12 year old would have very different plans!

  2. My students designed 3D Cells in Science this past term and I would love to have this in the classroom for them to print their designs. Next term they will be designing structures that help solve a world problem. I also would love to print some custom class of 2023 swag for them at the end of the school year. Great contest. Thank you.

  3. I would print artsy things…so I won’t say here in order to maintain the uniqueness until put to market! Fun and beauty…I want one so bad

  4. I would like to try printing repair parts for the car and things around the house. The ability to create toys would also be cool.

  5. I would print architectural models of my custom home designs so clients would have a better understanding as to how the design relates to the land, plus the opportunity of showing off architectural features of the design

  6. The first thing I would print would be new pieces for the game “operation”, since the kids lost half of them

  7. I never really thought about what I could use a 3D printer for, but going thought some free STL files I found some cool stuff. It might sound weird, but I think I’d make a model of a Xenomorph I found.

  8. I would like to make personal and unique cookie cutters and cake tins & moulds, such as in the form of zodiac signs.
