It felt like E3 came to Toronto at Nintendo’s recent “Summer Celebration and Media Showcase.” Nintendo’s entire E3 show floor line-up was on display—and playable—for media, friends and family to try out. This was the perfect chance to get more hands on time with the incredible games Nintendo has planned for release this fall, and beyond!

FIFA 16 enters the fray this year with one of the most diverse rosters in video game sports. From your favourite Premier League pro’s to a dozen Women’s National Teams to hallowed football legends and more, everybody is prepared to take to the pitch, so get ready to take control with EA Sports’ latest take on “The Beautiful Game”.

A year off the 20th celebration of the Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3, and it is truly staggering the amount of media that we have collectively consumed, first mentioned, and then showcased at this once humble event.  Now a premier place for gaming goings on, it’s had quite a life (including a near death!) so far.  So, with this years extravaganza on the near horizon, let’s have a peak at some of the incredible things we first heard of at E3.

Looking for a video game gift that will bring the entire family together this holiday? Here are some of my top family gaming picks.

 At E3 2016, Xbox held an “International Media event” that gave us access to their entire show floor games line-up for about two hours. With short lines, I managed to play four games: Dead Rising 4, Sea of Thieves, Forza Horizon 3, and ReCore. Here my impressions of each!

Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires from Koei Tecmo America sets players on a quest to conquer ancient China by combining the use of strategy and sword.

I think the title about sums it up really.  A third person action title; team up in groups of four to take down monstrous robots. One of the years many PS Vita titles, Freedom Wars was released to great success in Japan, though, they do like fighting giant robots over there… then again, so do we! Play as a character held prisoner for the crime of ‘being alive’, work off your debt destroying robo-menaces, save innocent lives, and don’t forget… let’s have fun out there people.
