Get those consoles and controllers ready because September is set to be one of the biggest months in video games ever. Bioshock. Destiny. Batman. NHL. FIFA. Dragon Quest. Forza. Yo-kai Watch. These are just some of the incredible game franchises that will get new releases this month. As if that wasn't impressive enough, there is also some new IPs on the horizon, including Ubisoft's Just Sing and the Xbox-exclusive ReCore. Let's take a look at the games!

Long time fans of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games have been waiting for a new game in the series for 13 years. The wait is now over, as the latest game in the series is here, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5. Famous pro skaters such as Tony Hawk, Andrew Reynolds, and Aaron “Jaws” Homoki make their return in this over-the-top, fast-paced, combo-fueled game. Is this the game fans have been dreaming about? WWE 2K20 puts the focus on the Women's Division with a new 2K Showcase as well as a campaign starring its first-ever female protagonist.

November 21st signals the arrival of Super Smash Bros for Nintendo WiiU as well as Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, reboots of the popular Game Boy Advance games. From developer Nihon Falcom comes The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel, the latest entry in acclaimed Trails franchise localized for western audiences. Available for PS Vita and PlayStation 3, Trails of Cold Steel is set on the same continent as the fan-favorite Trails in the Sky, and lets you further explore Erebonia’s vast lands and deep inner political conflicts. If you love JRPGs, this is a game you won’t want to miss!

 My last booth visit at this year’s E3 was Konami to check out the latest version of this popular soccer franchise, Pro Evolution Soccer 2017. The folks at Konami were kind enough to invite us into their private room so that we can play as we please. Melanie and I spent our time learning about the refined controls and updated to get an idea of what this game will offer when it releases later this year for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
