Ah, September. The month when the fall line-up flood gates open wide and we’re treated to some of the most anticipated video games of the year. With so many incredible titles releasing this month it was too hard to pick my usual five or six favourites, so instead, I’m doing my top ten. Come take a look!

Long before Mario was super, he was transported as a baby to Yoshi Island where the Yoshis had to protect him from the wizard Kamek.  Your adventure is as the various Yoshis in 6 different worlds protecting Baby Mario from being snatched into the hands of evil, as it is believed he will be trouble for Bowser as a grown-up.  Kamek got one thing right:  Mario IS going to be trouble for Bowser, but can you get him to safety and adulthood where he can then save the world?  Yoshi’s New Island is the latest installment of the franchise, and is available now.  Click on to read the review of this family friendly title.

E3 2016: Zelda Breath of the Wild impressions

 At E3 2016, I had a chance to play the first 15 minutes of Nintendo’s upcoming adventure game The Legend of Zelda: The Wild Breath, and it was even more epic than I had imagined. A sprawling open world, the most gorgeous graphics I’ve ever seen for a Wii U, and fascinating new gameplay are only the beginning. This is Zelda like we’ve never seen before, yet at the same time stays true to this beloved franchise. Here are my early impressions of this 2017 title:
