Fans of Microsoft’s Windows Phone mobile platform can be forgiven for feeling left out with the glut of new smartphone releases every fall. New iPhones, BlackBerries and Android phones are commonplace, but Windows? A little tougher to come by. However, Microsoft announced a new “affordable flagship” Lumia smartphone at IFA 2014 in September and the Nokia Lumia 830 is now finding its way into Canada. It sports the familiar colourful polycarbonate shell and a big 5-inch display at an affordable price point.

November 21st signals the arrival of Super Smash Bros for Nintendo WiiU as well as Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, reboots of the popular Game Boy Advance games. I’ve been fortunate enough to test out a bunch of fitness trackers and I’ve become the go-to person my friends go to for advice when they want to buy the latest and greatest fitness devices. That’s why yesterday, when Fitbit announced their newest wrist-based activity trackers, my phone was buzzing. And for good reason, because there’s a lot to be excited about. Here’s a quick look at the three new fitness trackers from Fitbit.

Google and HTC just took the wraps off what is likely to be one of the hottest tablets of 2014: the Nexus 9. Described as “powered by Android, for work and play” the new tablet features a powerful 64-bit CPU, the new Android Lollipop operating system, an 8.9-inch HD display and HTC BoomSound.

One Final Fantasy game that North American fans have wanted for awhile giving access to another that they’re anxiously awaiting, that’s twice the FF folks!  A Japan exclusive release, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is a more action oriented installment of the long standing JRPG, released in 2011 for the PlayStation Portable. Beefed up and repackaged for the new hardware, pre-orders gain players access to a playable demo of the next big Final Fantasy title, Final Fantasy XV.
