Thinkware Dash Cams are easy to setup and use devices that deliver a wide range of benefits. Many people are aware that they could use the captured footage from a dash cam to help establish their innocence if they get into accident. However, they may not be aware of some of the other amazing benefits dash cams offer. You’ll find out for yourself how great these are if you read the information below before entering this contest. And if you enter this contest, you might win one of eight new Thinkware dash cams.

Thinkware dash cams are easy to use

I’ve sent Thinkware dash cams to various writers and there are a few commonalities across these reviews. First of all, they all found the installation and set up of the device extremely simple. For example, Dave Neufeld wrote, “Getting up and running with the Thinkware F70 Dashcam could scarcely be much easier.” In her review, Shelly Wutke said, “… it couldn’t have been easier.” Matt Paligaru explains how easy it is to install the front camera of the F200 he was sent then stated, “Installing the rear camera is just as easy.” And, after testing the F800 Brad Moon stated, “First up, installation of the dash cam was easy.”

See a pattern here? Multiple different independent reviewers, using different Thinkware dash cam models, all found that these are easy to set up. Furthermore, they all had no issues with using them as intended.

Why would you want a dash cam

Another commonality across all of these reviewers was what they saw as an important reason to get a dashcam: insurance claims. No one likes to be falsely accused of causing an accident. Dash cam footage has been used by many people to prove their innocence when the evidence was unclear or especially when the other party in the accident was not honest. Dash cam footage has also been used to help people get out of traffic tickets issued erroneously. “I didn’t go through a red light, officer; and, I can prove it!”

If you have teenagers, then a dash cam is a great motivator for them to driver responsibly: everything will be recorded and reviewed when the car is returned. Speaking of reviewing footage: you can also do this after a week of driving to help self-diagnose bad habits and become a safer driver youself.

Of course, you are likely familiar with one other benefit: capturing amazing or shocking events. I live on a tiny island, where the deer outnumber people 3 to 1, so I would likely capture a ton of footage of deer crossing the road if I had one. But YouTube has many examples of people capturing really cool footage like fireballs and meteorites—all thanks to owning a dashcam.

  1. Thinkware FA200D 2-Channel Front & Rear Dash Camera w/Wifi 16GB Hardwire Kit. I like the hardwire kit

  2. Definitely the F 800 looks awesome!!! I hope to capture video of my city as I drive around for archive purposes. I’ve seen a few from the 80s of my city and it’s cool to see what is like because I forget lol. Fifty years from now people will love to see it! I’m trying to get my wife to buy it but so far no go. ☹️ So maybe I’ll just win it not tell her she’s on video and get some juicy footage on her singing or something!

  3. My favourite is the Thinkware Q800PRO 2K Dashcam with Wi-Fi. I hope to use Parking Surveillance Mode to capture whoever has been breaking windows. 3 times in 2 years.

  4. I’d want the Thinkware X700. dual cams is the best way to go. I’m hopeing to NOT capture anything to interesting as that would means someones having a bad day. However…. a meteorite would be pretty cool to get video of.

  5. The Q800PRO is really the best one offered here. Night vision is a must and 1440P resolution is the best available.

  6. The Q800Pro is my favourite because it’s 2K and I’m hoping to capture all the random wildlife I see while driving that I never get to really see because they’re passed so quickly.

  7. The X700 is great because it’s a kit with a front and rear camera. Hopefully, I won’t catch anything dangerous, but with the screen and the rear camera, it should work as a live rear view camera too.

  8. My choice would be the Thinkware F200DG Dashcam for its reasonable price point and ability to record both front and back activity. I witnessed a hit and run two days ago and was again reminded of how valuable these cameras are.

  9. I would choose the q800 pro! I like that it has a rear camera as well. Definitely a nice feature. I have been in a few accidents, not my fault and really wish I could have a dashcam just for piece of mind.

  10. Q800PRO would be a great asset to have on the road. with the crazy insurance rates we have, i am sure if anything happens it can help solve the blame game

  11. The Q800Pro. A great quality dash cam to use in case of an accident. Everything recorded in higher resolution.

  12. I like the F800, I’d hope to capture something unexpected like furniture flying out of the back of a truck which happened to me earlier this year but I didn’t have a dash cam to capture it.

  13. I’m hoping to capture nothing of note but I know I need one in case something unfortunate happens.

  14. the x700 because it is important to cover both the front and back, i would like to catch some video of drunk drivers so that i could hand it over to police

  15. I really like the Thinkware F800 1080p Dashcam with Super Night Vision & WiFi and I hope I never have to capture anything, I would just like a dashcam for peace of mind in case an accident occurs.

  16. I like the idea of the optional rear view camera (sold separately) that adds even more coverage, allowing you to capture accidents that happen at the rear of your vehicle
I would record footage in case of an accident

  17. Thinkware Q800PRO. Hopefully I will capture nothing interesting. I prefer driving stress free. I would like the camera just as protection against accident claims.

  18. My favourite Thinkware dashcam is the Q800Pro. I would hope to capture license plates and road signs in both day and night in the event that I would need that backup if an incident happened.

  19. I like the Thinkware X700 and hope really to capture nothing, but probably will of the red light runners.

  20. My favourite is the Q800PRO – I would hope to get good footage if someone ever hits me while driving.

  21. I really like the Thinkware F800 1080p Dashcam with Super Night Vision & WiFi and I would hope to capture a sweet meteorite if I won one! 😛

  22. The F800, so we can see the rear cam as we’re backing up – which is not always as easy as it looks!

  23. The Thinkware F200DG Dashcam is my favourite because not only does it record whatever is in front of the vehicle, it also has a rear camera to record what’s behind me as well.

Although it’s there to help protect me from false claims, I hope it would be able to record great sunsets and views on long rides in the country.

  24. Thinkware Q800PRO. Integrated Thermal Protection feature is important. The Car gets Super Cold in Winter and Super Hot in Summer!

  25. The Q800Pro sounds great to me, I like that it works with an app on the iPhone. Capturing footage that proves I did the right thing would be helpful, I think.

  26. The Q800Pro sounds great, I like that it works with an app on the iPhone. I’d love to capture something surprising and unexpected!

  27. The Q800 Pro would be awesome and would help me feel safe driving at night (with the super night vision!) or in general as well. Would love to try this!

  28. I would like to use the Q800PRO for any insurance claims that might arise. I also would like to check for any bad driving habits and correct them.

  29. I would love the Q800Pro dash cam. It would be perfect to catch video of wildlife on our travels without having to stop possibly harming the animals or causing traffic problems.
