What is a “Mixie”
I am very fond of a “Mixie” as it is a very important appliance that I, and most Indians, frequently use in our kitchens. It is found in almost every Indian household and used for prepping most Indian dishes, milkshakes, juices, smoothies, purees, spice-grinds, and much more. A Mixie is a combination of mixer and grinder but has different jars, usually 2,3 or more to use for different purposes like liquid, dry, juice, etc. It is a really fine kitchen appliance that will grind up wet or dry ingredients (like pepper, cumin seeds, rock hard galangal, and chunks of the cinnamon stick) into a very smooth paste or powder.
When I first moved to Canada a few years ago, I couldn’t find a Mixie in stores. Thanks to Hamilton Beach, I found a Mixie in Canada! It is a perfect multifunction appliance!
Hamilton Beach Professional juicer mixer grinder can do it all
This is a 3-in-1 (juicer, mixer, and grinder) stainless-steel countertop appliance, equipped with a powerful motor and 3 different jars to accommodate every recipe juice, blend, mix, or grind. Its commercial-grade, 2.2 peak horsepower motor easily handles most ingredients, from turmeric and coconut to silky smooth batter. The infinite speed control allows versatility: from low-speed chopping to high-speed mixing or grinding; and the intelligent speed sensor delivers precise RPMs regardless of the number and amount of ingredients. It has 13 program settings that provide consistent results for wet and dry ingredients. To accommodate various batch sizes, it comes with 3 stainless steel jars (0.5, 1, and 1.5 liters), and the 2 larger jars have square sides to ensure excellent circulation with large amounts of food. For peace of mind, the safety interlock stops the blades within 2 seconds if the lid is removed, and the durable blades are universal, so they don’t need to be changed. It also includes a chef-developed recipe book by Kunal Kapur so you can prepare authentic Indian dishes with confidence. Whatever ingredients you choose, the Hamilton Beach Mixie will keep you and your kitchen cool.
