Immortals Fenyx Rising gets a release date

Gods & Monsters, now known as Immortals Fenyx Rising was officially announced last year at E3. Since then, we haven’t heard or seen much of the game. Then, about a week ago, Ubisoft acknowledged that the game was still in development and that the new name of the game is Immortals Fenyx Rising.

Today, at Ubisoft Forward we learned that the game is launching December 3, 2020. It will be available on Stadia, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is a brand-new IP from the team at Ubisoft Quebec. You play as Fenyx, a new winged demigod, on a quest to save the Greek gods and their home from a dark curse. Additionally, Ubisoft announced that all Stadia players will get a chance to try Immortals Fenyx Rising with an exclusive free playable demo before launch. The exclusive Stadia demo will be playable later this year in all regions where Stadia is accessible.

I went hands-on with Immortals Fenyx Rising early last week. Make sure to check out my thoughts, impressions and watch over 25 minutes of gameplay footage from the game. In the meantime, check out the world premier trailer below.

The Prince is back in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake

Rumours have been flying for the past several weeks that a Prince of Persia game was in development. And, today, Ubisoft officially announced Prince of Persia: The Sand of Time Remake. The game has been in development for the past two years by Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai. This is Ubisoft’s first ever remake and includes a fresh approach to combat, puzzle solving and rewinding time.

Additionally, the game has been remade from the ground up with a new design, updated technology for today’s gaming systems, new camera angles and fully remade sequences. Last week, at a special pre-briefing of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, I was treated to an early look at the game and got to talk with the game’s Senior Producer and Game Director. You can read my interview here.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake launches January 21, 2021 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition

Quite possibly one of today’s biggest announcements at Ubisoft Forward September 2020 is a game everyone has been asking for, the re-release of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition. Celebrating its 10-year anniversary, the game includes both Knives Chau and Wallace Wells downloadable content.

Players can team up with up to three friends locally or online to defeat foes, share health and coins, and revive each other in this beloved 2D arcade-style beat ’em up game. Friends can also compete in subspace mini-games, frantic dodgeball or challenge each other to epic last-one-standing battles.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition is available this Holiday 2020 on Stadia, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Riders Republic

Riders Republic is an all-new outdoor sports playground with biking, skiing, snowboarding, and wing suiting in some of the most popular national parks in the United States. All of these locations join together to form a social sports park where players tackle a variety of solo, and PvP modes.

For example, there are Competitive Races and Trick Challenges, Multiplayer Arenas, and Online Cups. On next-gen consoles, the game features something called Mass Starts. Essentially, these are races with more than 50 players. Additionally, Riders Republic includes a full career mode that allows players to work their way up and eventually sign sponsors. All while earning progression-based gear to customize their rider.

Riders Republic is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, and PC on February 25, 2021. The game supports Smart Delivery for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. This means owners of one version get access to the other for no extra cost. Similarly, those who own the physical or digital version of the game on PlayStation 4 will have access to the digital version on PlayStation 5 for no extra cost.

  1. Ubisoft showed off a lot of great stuff! I can hardly wait to see more of Immortals Fenyx Rising, and even though I never played Scott Pilgrim before, the game looks like a fun beatemup, and I think I might give it a try!
