w2k16-game1.jpgWWE 2K16 – Pre-order and play as the Terminator

This week, 2K and WWE made the surprise (and utterly awesome) announcement that action film icon Arnold Schwarzenegger will be appearing as two playable characters in the upcoming game WWE 2K16. Both DLC characters, which includes the T-800 from The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day films, will be made available to those who pre-order the game online on BestBuy.ca.

WWE 2K16 will be releasing on both current-gen (PS4, Xbox One) and previous-gen (PS3, Xbox 360) game consoles, with the pre-order bonus appying to all versions. Imagine being able challenge all your favourite WWE Superstars―from Daniel Bryan, to Seth Rollins, to Wade Barrett―as the cybernetic soldier himself, the Terminator. Seems a little unfair, no? It’ll be fun to see if anyone on the WWE roster can withstand even a few minutes in the ring with the mighty Terminator!

It’s fun too thinking about the possibility of squaring off against Schwarzenegger, perhaps unleashing signature wrestling moves on him like Barrett’s bull hammer, or Rollin’s pedigree. While it’s almost unfathomable to think about, I wonder if you can put the Terminator in a submission hold and make him tap out? Now that’s something I’d like to see!

Release date: October 27, 2015

Platform: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360

Developer: Yuke’s, Visual Concepts

Publisher: 2K Sports

Genre: Sports, Wrestling

ESRB Rating: T (Teen)

The reveal trailer of Terminator in WWE 2K16, which aired on this week’s Monday Night Raw, was nothing short of awesome. In it, a seemingly naked Schwarzenegger walks into a country bar and scans several WWE Superstars and Divas including Daniel Bryan, Eva Marie, Paige, Finn Balor, and lastly, Dean Ambrose, whom he asks to hand over his “clothes, boots, and motorcycle.” Ambrose laughs and presses his cigar into the Terminator’s skin, only to realize something isn’t quite right when his accoster doesn’t flinch. Take a look at the full trailer below and see for yourself:
