What is so special about a Sonos One

Sonos has been around for a few years now, long enough to have earned its place as a dependable, well crafted, great sounding, wireless Wi-Fi home speaker. Talk to an owner of a Sonos speaker and they will go on and on about the things they love about them. Okay, even many non-owners will do that. I’ve noticed that many, many people have Sonos on their wish-lists: so a contest like this is perfect!

This is the year of voice activation, and the Sonos One has that built right in: ask Alexa anything. That is just one of the fantastic features you’ll enjoy with this speaker.  Here are some more:

  • Room filling sound. CNET called the Sonos One the first smart speaker that “sounds great with music.” (I laughed when I read that the first time! Why else would you want a speaker in your home?)

  6. I recently had the chance to check out this Sonos One at a friends place and I have to say I was very impressed with it. The sound that comes from this speaker is truly amazing I thought. I was always a little skeptical about it before as I am an old school audio audio / stereo component type guy and thought there was no way a little wireless single speaker could please my ears. I was wrong. The sound quality, volume and even stereo separation coming from this thing is very good. Love the way it really filled the room. For me it still couldn’t replace my home system but it certainly can augment it with ease. Portability, sound quality and build quality are all there. I’d be pressed to spend the going rate on something like this but I would certainly love to win one.

  10. I would love to be able to listen to great sound and above all be able to talk to Alexa. I love the commercial advertisement and now after reading the article, it sounds like a incredible speaker with great versatility.

  15. I have all my Sono surround system and my bedroom has play 5 and sub. I am in the process of making my home a smart home and this Sonos would be a very welcome addition to my on going system and smart home device.

    The fun part his when my friends come and visit they really are impress by what I have done and by how much Sonos can do. There are two of my friends are now Sono converted from what I have showed them. Pretty cool. Thank you and keep up the good work.

  23. i love the Sono’s sound with feature of adding number of speakers wirelessly so we can build our own home theatre system as we need. play wireless music from any of the device connected with same wifi.

  31. I absolutely love the design, I am always searching for a speaker that is not a tall cylinder or a cube. It’s 2018, we are way beyond that.

Love my Sonos soundbar,thus would love to use Sonos One in my kitchen to share it with my Sonos soudbar to listen to my music(while im cooking for my cathering business every day)and use alexa to check news,set my timer and give me reports on traffic(to know weather conditions ahead of me travelling in rural areas for my business,.

  41. Sonos’s ability to offer premium quality products at affordable prices. But most importantly expanding to all platforms like Google and Alexa and not being exclusive.
