Projectors have been around for many years, yet I don’t think they get the love they deserve! They are more versatile than a television, can display everything from movies to presentations on a huge range of surfaces, and they enable to project a huge range of image sizes. Many years ago, when my children were younger, I bought a projector to use as the main display in my basement home theatre. I was shocked that it never stayed in one place: my wife would move it to the bedroom to watch a movie when she was sick in bed, my kids would move it to their bedrooms for sleepovers, and I even took it to work a couple times for presentations. That’s something you certainly can’t say about a television. Rarely a day went by that it was not used for movies, gaming, work and more.

  1. I’d probably use this projector the most at home. I’d have movie nights outside in my backyard.

  3. I would put this in the living/ family room and my favourite feature is the BenQ projector because of the easy set up!

  5. I’d use it most outside. It’d be great to watch a movie on a dark night outside with it. Otherwise It’d be in my living room

  11. As for how I would use one of these amazing devices, I think the main use would be for movie nights. Either in the living room or during the warmer weather out in the backyard while sitting on the deck.

  13. My favourite feature would be the ease of setting up the amazing picture. Gone are the days of needing a hour before a meeting or viewing party to get the projector set up, connected and warmed up.

  15. I would put the BenQ projector in many places. Mostly in our theater room though. I would also use it at school as a projector in the classroom for my presentations.

  16. I think the best feature of the BenQ is the easy installation that allows you to move it with ease.
    We were looking for a way to eliminate the need for a TV and DVD in most rooms. This would definitely be it. I want less cords !!

  17. It looks so easy to use, as a grandmother, I really need easy. I would love to put very old family picture on it. Pictures of my mother, and my children and especially the wonderful little grandchildren.

  19. The best feature of the BenQ SVGA DLP Data Projector? Hard to say; – there are so many! But if I had to pick one, I’d say the “Eco blank mode” for temporarily blanking the projection. It makes ones overall presentation that more professional, if you can easily manage the technology used to display your ideas…

  20. My family would use the BenQ projector at my parent’s cottage; – would be great for sharing photos of years gone by!

  22. If I were to win I would use it in my studio. I’m currently using an old, old, old projector to do scans of my drawings and then projecting them onto larger paper surfaces for outline sketches for eventual paintings. A good quality projector would allow me to work in better light and have a sharper finished product. Not the most typical use but that’s what I’d do with it.

  23. I would love to be able to use this in my living room. We have a rather large house so this would compliment our space very well!

  28. I would definitely use this projector many places: meetings, movie screenings at different local halls/churches/etc, dances at my kids school, in my living room, etc….. mostly it would be used in the living room though 🙂

    Where do I start? Virtually no set up – which is awesome because I suck at setting things up and the fact that it automatically finds the input source for you….that’s sweet!

  41. If bestbuy sells cables and chromecast. I would guarantee I’d buy them for this. Wirelessy streaming from my PC to the projector and using my phone as a remote would be stellar.

  43. The bright lighting. I’ve used far too many projectors that are great in total blackness but are completely washed out even in dim lighting.
