The new Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen) Smart Display with Google Assistant is every bit the smart display its predecessor was—and then some! It has an absolute ton of features going for it! Among its key specs are a 7″ display screen with 1024×600 image resolution and enhanced audio thanks to an improved speaker that will make all your favourite tunes sound crisp, clear, and absolutely beautiful. Of course, you can always stream those songs from any subscription based music streaming platform you’re subscribed to.
A smart display with many great features
Among the many great features of this new generation of the Google Nest Hub is access to your favourite video streaming services, like YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, and many others (note that many of these services do require a subscription). Another way to use your device interactively is to engage the Google Duo feature to make voice calls to family, friends, and work colleagues.
Additionally, you can manage your schedule/calendar and create reminders of things you need to do, such as adding to a growing shopping list and then being reminded when it’s time to head to the store. And, thanks to a special Voice Match feature, every member of the family can see, hear, and manage their own calendars individually without the various schedules getting mixed up and confused.
And when your Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen)Â is not being used for some other purpose, you can employ it as a digital photo frame to display all your favourite Google Photos.
The Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen) also includes special bedside features that allow you to do things like controlling your lights from in bed, managing a sunrise alarm, and playing soothing sounds, just to name a few. It even has a ‘Your Evening’ page, as well as a special way of easing you into each new day by waking you up gently in the morning. And its special Sleep Sensing feature helps you to better manage your sleep schedule through personalized insights and special recommendations. It can track how long and well you sleep via your breathing and movements throughout the night.
A greater level of control
The Nest Hub 2.0 also offers multiple control options—everything from saying “Hey Google” (followed by more specific instructions) to a selection of intuitive on-screen controls (like play, pause, and browse). You can even adjust the volume as simply as with a tap or verbal command, and a fun Quick Gestures feature provides a whole other level of control for things like snoozing an alarm, playing/pausing various media, or stopping a timer. And all you have to do is wave your hand like a magician!
