Security cameras are for more than just watching the front door
Security cameras used to be complicated, detailed, and laborious to install, with VCRs (remember those?), timers, sensors, and more. All of that has gotten much simpler with the rise of smart home devices and technologies, so that pretty much all you have to do these days is buy a smart security camera, set it up, turn it on, and you’re good to go.
Not that you can’t still find traditional security cameras—you definitely can, and they too have gotten much easier to use in recent years. But smart security cameras offer the kind of whole-home integration that we’ve come to expect with the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT).
There are some obvious use cases for security cameras; For example, to monitor your front and back door, or to make sure that the kids are playing safely while you’re upstairs working. And these are all examples many people think of when they hear security camera. But the smart home introduces many new variables to think about.
For instance, what if you’re out of town and have programmed your smart lights to turn off and on at random times to make it look like someone is home? How can you be sure they’re doing that?
Well, with a smart security camera like the Logitech Circle 2, you can not only program your smart lights from your phone, you can also make sure they’re lighting up when they’re supposed to by looking at the feed from your Logitech Circle 2 (all on the same smartphone or tablet).
Or, what if you want to check in and see if the tomatoes growing in your smart garden are ripe, but you’re at work? Well, just log in to your phone and take a quick peek with your Logitech Circle 2.
As is probably evident from these examples, security cameras can do a lot more for you than the standard uses people tend to think of. The Logitech Circle 2 has some unique features that make it a great addition to your smart home setup, so read on to find out what those are.

I would like to have security cameras at the front of my house and by my garage in the back. So I can have a more secure home for my family.
The two areas I would choose would be my garage door and my back patio.
Front and Back door/patio area of my parent’s house.
I would put them at my front and back doors
Backdoor and parking area
Garage and back door.
Front door and back Dior
Front yard and backyard would cover all approaches
Front and back yard!
Front door and garage
Front door and garage
The front of my home and the backyard is what I would like covered.
Front door and garage
front door and the backyard
front door and back door
Would use these at the back and the front entryways.
For my living room that faces the entrance and my drive way
I want to set it up at my grunt garden to see who steals my vegetables
My front entrance.
One facing the garage’s entrance, the other facing the front door.
Front porch and backyard.
Basement (walkout) and entry
I would put one facing the front of my house from a tree in the front yard.
Then a second one facing the driveway/back yard from my dogs doghouse!
I would want my front entrance and basement covered with cameras .
I think we could use one by the front entrance and one to cover our parking area
Lately my parents cul-de-sac has become a popular spot for vehicle break-ins. It would be nice to catch these perpetrators on camera to give to the local media and police.
Front door and parking stall
Our garbage was recently attacked and devoured by a family of coyotes. Unfortunately, the Nest doorbell did not cover the garbage location, but we got a few minutes of spine-chilling audio. I’d like video coverage of that area for next time.
My back porch and barn are my biggest concerns
Front door and back door
Our front door for sure and probably the backyard/garage.
Back yard and front driveway
I would love to use these cameras to protect my backyard sheds and my garage and entrance way in the front.
Front door and back patio door
I’d monitor the front of our house and the hallway inside the home.
That’s a cool feature to press the camera up against a window like that. I would put one camera in the front window capturing the entire front yard and one in the back window capturing the entire back yard. Thanks for accepting my entry.

Front door and backyard.
The first camera I would put to monitor our front yard\driveway. The second I would temporarily put it in or family room to see what our dog gets up to while we are away. After that I would point it to monitor our backyard, especially where our shed is as sometimes people try to swipe things around here.
