In these unprecedented times, it’s more important than ever to keep in touch with your colleagues, friends, family, and loved ones—and Facebook Portal was designed just for that purpose. Like many of us, you’re probably spending the majority of your time at home right now. You might be juggling the kids, the cats, and the dogs while you’re trying to work from home, or perhaps you’re spending your days watching oodles of Netflix and playing the hottest Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One games. (Maybe all of the above?) Enter this contest and, if you win, you’ll be able to spend more time connecting with the people you work with or the people you love: the prize is three Facebook Portal devices.
Face-to-face communications always give you that extra something
Sure, you could send an email. But isn’t it nice to see someone’s face light up when you say hello? That’s backed up by science. One of the world’s foremost experts on human communication, Professor Albert Mehrabian’s famed “7-38-55 rule of personal communication” breaks human interactions down to a general ratio of 7% verbal, 38% tone of voice, and 55% body language. That means your facial expressions, gestures, and other movements can make up more than half of your message!
Facebook Portal keeps you in close contact with your colleagues
Perhaps you’re operating a small office, or you have a few major clients for your freelance gig. Sometimes a giant back-and-forth email thread isn’t the most efficient way to get things done. Whether you’re separated by a few streets—or more than a few time zones, you can stay in touch just like you would in a face-to-face meeting by using Facebook Portal. As long as they’ve got Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp, they can link up for video calls, and you’ll be working like never before.
Facebook Portal is also great for keeping in touch with family and friends
Lots of people love Facebook Portal because they can make live video calls to friends and family, display their photos, and more. With more families and friends in different places around the globe, it’s more important than ever to stay in touch. So pop online just to say hi to your best friend, or read stories to your nieces, nephews, or grandchildren. And when you’re not using the device, Facebook Portal has a feature so it can double as a picture frame to display all your favourite Facebook and Instagram photos. How great is that?
How to enter
Entering this contest is easy, but you can only enter once. First, read our reviews of Facebook Portal and Facebook Portal Mini, and our review of Facebook Portal TV. Then, in a comment on this article, tell us one feature you love about Facebook Portal and who you’ll be keeping in contact with the most.
What you can win
At the end of the contest, we’ll select one winner to receive a Portal bundle that includes one Facebook Portal, one Facebook Portal Mini, and one Facebook Portal TV. Keep one for yourself and send the others to the people you want or need to keep in contact with most.
This contest runs from March 31st to April 16th.
Remember, you can only enter once, but you probably know someone else who would love to see the smiling faces of their colleagues, family, and friends all the time. Let them know about this contest so they too have a chance to win—and make their day!

My favourite would probably be the adaptive camera. Always waste time fiddling with the webcam when video chatting.
This feature is the coolest built-in smart camera and microphone setup that adapt to your location in the room … My 2 year old daughter would love to talk to the grandparents on this! Especially since she is unable to see them probably all year 🙁
I like the idea of displaying all our travel photos when we are home.

Face to face video calling for me!
My favourite feature would be video calling…then I could see my grandkids when I talk to them.
My favourite feature is the video calling. I miss mom so much & received terrible news this morning. She’s in a retirement home and one of the residents has tested positive for this awful virus. Now Everyone in the home must stay locked in their rooms alone, we can speak to her on the phone, however we can’t visit. I feel so worried for her and everyone else there. I know she misses seeing her grandchildren. I wish she had one of these so we could all see eachother. Thank you and please stay safe.

I love the whole face to face video calling! It makes it convenient to talk my family all over the world!
One feature I love about Facebook Portal is the built-in smart camera and microphone setup that adapt to one’s location in the room (i.e., the camera follows your movements and zooms in on you wherever you go, while the audio adjusts to always keep you sounding crystal clear as well).
The person I’ll be keeping in contact with the most is my cousin Erinmarie who lives out in Florida.

love face to face
While I would appreciate having my Facebook photos easily displayed on the device in a slideshow, the kids would DEFINITELY love the ability to chat with friends using this thing – and the AR stories look super cute and fun! We would use it to call my mom who lives all the way across the country!
I love the video calling so I can call and see my parents in Vietnam.
This would be amazing to keep in contact with my family that is scattered. Would love to see their faces and be able to see that all at once! Love that you can also use it as a picture frame!
I’m a big Facebook user and would love the picture in picture feature the best.
I love that it also acts as a photo frame to display photos! My grandparents would absolutely love that feature as well as the change to talk to us throughout this isolation period!
I like the adaptive lighting. Will use with my daugthers.
I love the video calling so I can keep in touch with my children
I think the whole thing rocks but the video calling feature is the best. Encrypted for privacy too! I would be talking to my Mom across the country!
I love that any video calls I make will be safely encrypted for an extra layer of privacy. My girls and I would be using it to call my parents who live on the other side of the county.
