Another look at Belkin’s Wemo smarthome products after months of use

I gave Belkin WeMo products a favourable review after first installing several products in my home last November. I have been using Wemo in my home for almost 6 months and …

Review: HD Everio Quad Proof all weather video camera – Rugged and Reasonable!

I have always been a big fan of GoPro cameras – well the Everio Quad Proof video camera is sort of the GoPro of “camcorders.” Unlike the GoPro, which has a separate case that makes it waterproof, the Everio Quad Proof camera is so durable that the camera as it is can go underwater, in snow, dust storms, and won’t get damaged if it is accidentally dropped. A great camera for all you outdoorsy types that don’t want the elements to prevent you from getting the perfect shot. I had a chance to test drive one and here’s what I found.

Jawbone UP Move: Affordable motivation

I have to start off confessing the first thing I tested on the Jawbone UP Move was the sleep feature. Was my midday nap really that long? It felt like only half an hour. I did quickly progress to using the Jawbone UP Move to track my daily activities and it did motivate me to get off the couch.

Review: The iSmartAlarm is an easy and effective alternative to Home Alarm systems

Many people I know have mentioned their fear of break-ins or theft—especially my friends with rental homes. But there’s not much they can do outside of placing a broomstick in the sliding door, or hoping the deadbolts on their doors hold: they’re not allowed to have an alarm installed. Nor would they want to permanently install a device in a place in which they will only be residing temporarily. There’s a great solution to this problem now! The iSmartAlarm is a portable, yet powerful device that acts as a great theft deterrent using nothing more than a couple portable pieces of hardware, your wireless network and your smartphones.  I just had a chance to test it so click below to check out my review

Review: Sphero’s Ollie spins circles around its Robot competitors

For the most part, many of the iOS based toys nowadays have potential, but are very limited to what they can do. The Parrot Mini-Drones for example were fun, but not that expansive in ability. They both also cost more than the Sphero Ollie, a brand new challenger into the fold. Ollie comes from the same science and physics loving minds behind the Sphero and promises to continue branching fun and physics at an affordable price. You know what? It’s great fun too.  Come check out the Sphero Ollie.

Review: Unleash your inner composer in Fantasia: Music Evolved

When I was a child, the first two Disney movies my mom bought were The Rescuers Down Under and Fantasia.  Music aside, I hated Fantasia.  Absolutely hated it. As I grew older, I learned to appreciate that it wasn’t a prototypical Disney movie, and learned to appreciate what it was.  It gave me a better appreciation of Fantasia 2000, and now the fact that I’ve been looking forward to Fantasia: Music Evolved ever since it was announced. It’s here, and it’s quite the workout.  Come check it out!

Review: Super Smash Bros 3DS brings a big fight to the small screen

Here we go Smash fans! The first handheld version in the Smash Bros series is here, and it’s huge!  Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS features a huge roster, a lot of stages, and a lot of game play modes. It might just be one of, if not the biggest Nintendo 3DS games yet, and sets the stage for the Nintendo WiiU version coming later this year. If you’re only going to be picking up this one, however, it’s still a good one.  Come take a look at the newly released Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS
