  1. Sitting with good posture, setting up your desk ergonomically, and having a comfortable, ergonomic mouse that fits your hand size well are all important!

  2. It is really beneficial to have your feet elevated, like on a foot stool or something. Helps with your core and your posture.

  3. Set a timer and take breaks–long breaks–getting some physical exercise during the break such as going for a walk, doing yoga.

  4. That’s very easy, You plan ahead, Know the game you are playing, the average hours that you play, And Schedule Break times during them, Try not to play in the dark, And Drink fluids while you game, Break times are essential to enjoyable gaming.

  7. One of the best ways to take a break every hour to just walk around and stretch, don’t forget to stay hydrated!

  8. As an ergonomist and gamer here are some great tips!
    During loading screens etc do a quick stretch, either seated or get up off your chair – takes just a few seconds but make it a habit.
    Always have a water bottle sitting on your desk.
    Stare off into the distance between scenes to give your eye muscles a break.
    Address any hand or wrist pain at the first sign of trouble if you want to keep being a great gamer – icing, splints, physio can all be done during your off-time.
    Set your entire workstation up so that your joints are at a neutral angle and your body is well supported.
    Get a Cubee or other under desk exercising equipment to maintain your cardio fitness and leg strength.
    Put your controller down any time you can and just move your fingers, wrist, elbows and shoulders.

  11. set a timer for every hour, then close your eyes for 30 seconds to relieve the eyes for too much staring at screen

  12. Make sure you stay hydrated. Take a break often to stretch your legs & arms and make sure you’re going to the washroom and not waiting.

  13. One way to stay in good shape, use an adjustable height desk allowing you to game standing up! It also adds more “humph” and engagement into your gaming while standing!

  21. You have to take stretch breaks. As someone who got carpal tunnel surgery I can tell you do not underestimate this!
