I know I might be a bit of an anomaly, but I love Valentine’s Day. Even when I don’t have a significant other to share it with, it’s a day that reminds me to be thankful for all the love I have in my life, regardless of who it comes from.
That said, I’m also a big fan of uniqueness, and while flowers are always a lovely gesture and welcome at any time, I think Valentine’s Gifts should be a little more special, and dare I say it, somewhat practical. I’m not saying you should go out and buy your partner a new iron for Valentine’s Day (that happened to me once and no, we are no longer together) unless they’ve specifically asked for one, but there’s something to be said about thinking outside the box and getting your beau a gift that is equal parts useful and thoughtful.
