You may think that one computer monitor is much like any other but you would be wrong. Monitors come in different sizes, different styles with different abilities and uses. Enter this contest and you may discover just how great a monitor can be: the prize is a BenQ Zowie Gaming Monitor that is very light, and is designed to handle the faced paced demands of today’s video games. It’s perfect for the student heading back to school, or any home where the computer does more than just spreadsheets.
What makes a monitor great
We are long past the days where the computer monitor occupied a major portion of your computer desk, and was a pain to move because of its weight and awkwardness. Monitors in 2017 keep getting thinner, lighter and brighter so you can work and play without getting eye strain, move them without getting a hernia, and place them on almost any table or desk and they don’t get in the way.
The prize for this contest is a great example of what I’m talking about. The BenQ monitor has the features that anyone would covet in a monitor. The bonus comes if you are into video games, and especially eSports, since this monitor is designed to refresh very quickly so that your focus remains on the game, not on the flickering screen.
BenQ Zowie Console Gaming Monitor Features
We recently sent this monitor to independent blogger Chris Loblaw for an unbiased review. Read the full review yourself, but here are some features that he called out as especially useful:
- easy setup: great for everyone who upgrades their monitor
- light and portable: great for taking to eSports turnaments
- fast refresh rate of 1ms is faster than most televisions
- black eQualizer setting: allows you to enhance the blacks with dulling the whole scene
- low blue light: drastically reduces eye-strain
- flicker free: flicker too can cause eye-strain
- non-reflective frame: another feature meant to enhance the gaming experience
Right now you may be thinking, “how can I get one of these?” There are two ways: you can just go online and purchase one from Best Buy (that’s the easiest way); you can also enter this contest. Even you don’t need a new monitor yourself, you probably know a student who’ll be going back to school in the fall who would love to get a BenQ gaming monitor.

MY first instinct was to go with the easy setup but then I saw the low blue light which drastically reduces eye-strain. Winner!
fast refresh
Flciker Free
I love the flicker free feature… I am constantly behind a monitor at work and sometimes I feel too tired to use my computer at home… this feature would definitely reduce my eye strain and make gaming more enjoyable!
I like the fact that it is flicker free, easier on the eyes.
I think the low blue light will be great. Staring at the screen tooooo long causes eye strain for me.
Low Blue light! Will help me play games longer!
The first flat screen monitor I bought was a BenQ and I’ve been a fan ever since. This is a great prize. Thank you Best Buy!
The non-reflective frame. I think it’s awesome and would allow me to become more immersed in the game I am playing.
flicker-free and fast set up our my 2 favorite features
THis would be great. My current ancient moniter is acting up!

I really love the fast refresh rate.
I like the ‘low blue light: drastically reduces eye-strain’ feature. Sometimes after looking at a screen for a long time I feel as if my eyes are coming out of my head.
The reduction in blue light makes a major improvement on eye strain over the course of a few hours.
At work I have a non-reflective frame and it makes quite a difference. At home we are not so lucky. Thank you.
I like the flicker free
For me, it’s all about fast refresh rate!
I like the fast refresh rate, better response rate means the best for gaming, it matters when you want to get most out of games like fps
Anything to help with eye strain is awesome! I wonder if it would help with motion sickness too…
Light and portable, we have a winner
I love the fast refresh rate because I mainly play FPS games and having the screen update as fast as possible makes it easier to move around and spot things.
I like the Flicker-free
My favourite feature is the low blue light to help reduce eye strain
That fast refresh rate would be amazing. 1ms.
The 1ms refresh rate is my favourite feature – great for FPS games.
low blue light: drastically reduces eye-strain is important to me
It’s gotta be the 1ms GTG response time, ghosting will kill you in a game.
Low blue light because I need to spend long hours on the PC.
Flicker-free? Sign me up
I appreciate the light and portable feature of the monitor; although I don’t attend tournaments, I do move things about a lot 🙂

Flicker free is my favorite feature because it will not add more eye strain the longer I am on the computer, gaming or working.
