What is an external SSD?

External solid-state drive technology is a fast and reliable storage solution that can store thousands of gigabytes worth of files. Many computers nowadays have SSDs as an internal storage device, but the problem with relying on your own computer’s storage drive is that it can slow your system down as you max out its capacity. So if you’re the type that requires ample storage capacity to save your work, projects, or anything that you want a digital copy of, a dedicated external SSD is definitely a must-have.
