At CES 2023, Asus solidified its laptop display leadership with its lineup of ROG Nebula gaming laptop displays. These panels are fast, bright, vivid and have high refresh rates along with accurate colours to make images lifelike. These new displays are named after a rigorous certification standard for laptop gaming displays, which ironically is called Nebula.

To meet the Nebula requirements, a display must offer 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space for vibrant colours. Additionally, they must have a minimum brightness of 500 nits, and a fast refresh rate with a response time of 3ms or less. Furthermore, Nebula displays are Pantone Validated to ensure accurate colour representation, support Dolby Vision HDR for enhanced gaming and movie experiences, and feature Adaptive-Sync for smooth, consistent, and tear-free motion.

And, these displays also have TÃœV Certification for their low blue light and flicker reduction. You’ll find Nebula display options in most of Asus’ 2023 laptops including the Strix SCAR 16 and 18, Strix G16 and G18, Zephyrus M16, Zephyrus G16, Zephyrus G14, Flow X13, Flow Z13, and Flow X16.

Asus brings its ROG Nebula HDR to more laptops in 2023

Taking ROG Nebula a step further, Nebula HDR is a cutting-edge display technology that offers enhanced HDR content. It features the same 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage and 3ms response time requirements as Nebula and features Mini LED panels for up to 1100 nits of peak brightness.

Nebula HDR also has a 5400 Hz polling rate, refined local dimming algorithm, and processes 250 images per second to reduce blooming and haloing. These features make Nebula HDR ideal for showcasing modern HDR content, such as movies and games, with an image that appears to pop off the screen.

For 2023, Asus will release new versions of its Zephyrus M16 and Zephyrus G14 laptops. The Zephyrus M16 has a more premium chassis and next-generation performance, as well as a Nebula HDR display with Mini LED technology that offers stunning HDR experiences for gaming, movies, and content creation. In addition, the ultra-compact Zephyrus G14 will have a Nebula HDR display with a Mini LED panel.
