The summer is finally in full swing, and if you’re a parent like me, you’re probably spending a lot more time with your kids now that school is out.    The summer is an important time in the lives of children, arguably the highlight of the year, and as parents it’s our job to document these fun-packed, carefree days.   Today I’m going to give you my angle on taking great photographs of your kids.

Saturday the 21st was summer solstice, the longest day of the year the official start of summer 2014. Canadians really come alive in the summer, and on these long beautiful summer days you can feel all that energy stored up over the winter. Summer is a great time to dust off that camera that’s been sitting on the shelf and get outside and make some great photos. Today I’m going to give you my top 5 tips for shooting amazing photographs this summer.

Nikon has just announced it’s latest full-frame offering – the D750, which sits between the D610 and the D810 in Nikon’s FX range. According to Nikon this camera is aimed at the ‘adept enthusiast’, but judging by the specs, this is a camera that will easily satisfy most professional shooters too.

Sony has just annopunced it’s latest camer ain the Alpha series; the A6000. With super quick autofocus and the abilty to shoot 11 frames per second, Sony is continuing to push the mirrorless camera category forward.   Today photographer Justin Morrison gives us his initial thoughts on the A6000
