I’ve sent Thinkware dash cams to various writers and there are a few commonalities across these reviews. First of all, they all found the installation and set up of the device extremely simple. For example, Dave Neufeld wrote, “Getting up and running with the Thinkware F70 Dashcam could scarcely be much easier.” In her review, Shelly Wutke said, “… it couldn’t have been easier.” Matt Paligaru explains how easy it is to install the front camera of the F200 he was sent then stated, “Installing the rear camera is just as easy.” And, after testing the F800 Brad Moon stated, “First up, installation of the dash cam was easy.”
See a pattern here? Multiple different independent reviewers, using different Thinkware dash cam models, all found that these are easy to set up. Furthermore, they all had no issues with using them as intended.
Why would you want a dash cam
Another commonality across all of these reviewers was what they saw as an important reason to get a dashcam: insurance claims. No one likes to be falsely accused of causing an accident. Dash cam footage has been used by many people to prove their innocence when the evidence was unclear or especially when the other party in the accident was not honest. Dash cam footage has also been used to help people get out of traffic tickets issued erroneously. “I didn’t go through a red light, officer; and, I can prove it!”

I would like the Q800 or F800, and would want to capture my EPIC commute through the mountains with animals (bg horn sheep, elk, moose, black bear, grizzly bear, wolves and sometimes lynx), as well, for the purpose of any insurance scammers out there.

My favourite is the Thinkware Q800PRO dashcam. I would hope to capture images at night with Super Night Vision as I drive a lot at night and it would capture any incidents on the road so I could use them in court.
F800—Super Night Vision – as it captures better images in the dark
The 800 Pro would be the very best choice for me! I drove a car my whole life up until 6 years ago when my first was born and then a year later we switched to an SUV as my then 14 year old cars electrical kept failing and repairs were getting too costly. I absolutely love driving my suv but I don’t have a very good idea at all of what’s to the left, right and front undersides of my vehicle. Often I find myself nudging meridians, going over curbs, and once I ended up scraping the side of my vehicle. I would be thrilled to win this dash cam as it has excellent front vision. Q800Pro Hoping to catch some great shots of wildlife
The Thinkware M1 Motorsport dashcam looks great! I would definitely add this to my motorcycle and I hope that it could add insurance relief if I should ever avoid an accident and have some damage to my motorcycle. I always worry that accident avoidance will either put me at fault or liable for my own repairs.

I like the Q800Pro with the 2K video quality, you get more detailed footage for any proof of accidents. It’s a great all in one dashcam with front & rear camera and optional GPS! This would be great to have!

I’d love to try the Thinkware U1000 model and leave it on when I leave my vehicle parked at a back lake sometimes. I’d love to see how often animals would come by and check out the vehicle while we’re off fishing.
