What should you look for when buying a dash cam like the many offered by Nextbase? Perhaps you want some protection for you and your family while driving at the lowest price. Nextbase has a wide range of possibilities with their series: 122, 222, 322GW, 422GW, and 522GW models. Alternatively, you may want something that is future-friendly, has the newest technology, and tons of features. They just announced their newest model: the 622GW 4K dash cam. Take some time to learn about Nextbase dash cams to return here to enter for a chance to win one of five that we are giving away.

What are you looking for in a dash cam?

I personally don’t own a dash cam. It’s not that I don’t care about the advantages they offer, I just haven’t got around to buying one yet. But if I was, I would want something in the middle of the Nextbase series: probably a 322GW or 422GW. Perhaps it’s that the review done by Dave Neufeld was extremely persuasive? Or somehow it resonated with me in a way the other Nextbase articles have not. After all, I think all the writers did a great job examining the different models and clearly explaining what they liked and did not like about each: pros and cons. I think what is more likely is that I just like the 422GW most because I feel it’s right for me in a way that I can’t quite explain.

Nextbase keeps raising the bar on what a dash cam can do

Not that I am averse to perfection. I have not seen the new model that was just announced today, the 622GW; nor have I sent it for review—Nextbase haven’t sent me samples yet. But judging from the specifications and features, it is a step above the rest. The features include an impressively clear 4K image at 30 fps, image stabilization, and Amazon Alexa built in. I love that if you are involved in an accident, this dash cam will register the most recent footage as high priority and not let it get recorded over.

So, now your options are bigger. Of course, if you win one of the five prizes in this contest, which include a 122, 222, 322GW, 422GW, and 522GW models, then you can learn from experience what you want in a dash cam. First though, you will need to think about which one has the features you need.

How to enter

Entering this contest is easy, but you can only enter once on this post and once on the article about the new 622GW dash cam. In one comment below each article tell us which features you absolutely need in a dash cam, and which Nextbase model is therefore your favourite. You can do some research before deciding by reading the articles or looking at the product pages (I put all the links you need above).

What you can win

At the end of this contest we will select five (5) winners and randomly assign them to receive one of the five prizes: a Nextbase 122, 222, 322GW, 422GW, and 522GW models. Each prize also comes with a hardwire kit and a carry case that includes a 32 GB microSD card.

This contest runs from August 27th until September 10th.

Remember, you can only enter once. However, you have friends and family who can also benefit by owning one of these Nextbase dash cams, so please share this contest with them.

  1. Dash cam features needed: 4K resolution, front/rear cameras, night vision. My favourite model would have to be the 622GW

    Thanks

  2. I would need wifi/Bluetooth so i can get the footage directly on my phone so therefore i would want the 322 since it has those features and wont break the bank.

  3. I need high-definition video and wifi-enabled data transfer – that’s why I would choose the Nextbase 522GW model!

  4. Dash cam features needed: high def resolution, front/rear cameras, night vision. My favourite model is: 622GW

    Thank you!

  5. The features I love are the 1080p resolution, front and rear camera plus night vision. I would choose the 622GW

  6. I would totally need an auto-save feature which automatically shoots and stores my video footage and the Nextbase model that’s my favourite would be the Nextbase 522GW 1440p Dash Cam! 😉

  7. 60fps and being able to view the footage on my phone via the Nextbase app so the wi-fi equipped and reasonably priced 322 it is!

  8. The enhanced night vision in the 662GW is a must have for me! The weather feature is a first as well and would be amazing to have.

  9. I would get this for the high resolution. And having the ability to pair it with my phone to make a quick download when necessary.

  10. I want the Nextbase 622GW because I am interested about the latest and best dash cam features, including the clearest image quality in the industry with up to 4K recording at 30fps, and image stabilization that counteracts the normal bumps and vibrations encountered during driving.

  11. The feature I am most interested in is the HD 4K video and enhanced night vision because I do alot of night time driving.
The Dash cam Nextbase 622GW 4K dash cam is my favourite

  12. For sure the camera needs to have some sort of low light capability for driving at night. I think the polarizing lens of the 522 is an advantage over the others (I have polarizing sunglasses so understand the benefit)… so the 522 is my fav!

  13. 522 and 622 would be ideal for me with their night vision, intelligent parking modes and added safety features. Impressive!

  14. I think the 522 has most of the features I would need, It has the night vision mode and a slightly larger 3″ screen for my old eyes.

  15. Required features: Great nighttime as well as daytime visibility, ability to share videos quickly to mobile devices, wide-angle lens, decent (at least 1440p) resolution.

For these reasons, my favorite Nextbase dash cam would have to be the 622GW. It just nudges out the 522 because of the night vision.

  16. I’ve been really wanting a new dashcam. Fingers crossed. I’d like:

Loop recording and Auto start: …
    GPS and Speed logging: …
Impact detection and Event tagging: …
    Supercapacitor (NOT a built-in battery): …
    Buffered Parking Mode
    Night vision

  17. High def resolution and great quality night vision in rainy weather are most important. I would definitely prefer the model 633GW as my favorite but the model 522 would also work for me just as well!

  18. The sharpness of 4k finally on a Next base dashcam from Best Buy. That resolution is useful when trying to decipher licence plate numbers!
