No third-person shooter franchise made a bigger impact on Xbox 360 than Gears of War. The party doesn’t last long though as a lurking danger turns their idyllic vacation into a deadly nightmare—and only your decisions can save them.

The moment has finally arrived. October marks the triumphant return of legendary music franchises Rock Band and Guitar Hero! That’s just the tip of the iceberg though as we’ve also got games like Halo 5, Yoshi’s Woolly World, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, and WWE 2K16 releasing in mere days. Yes, days! On the 30th anniversary of Super Mario Bros., Nintendo has done something unprecedented: they’ve handed over the keys to their most iconic franchise to us, the fans. With Super Mario Maker for Wii U, let your creativity run wild as you design your very own dream Super Mario stages using the Wii U GamePad. The possibilities are endless, and so is the fun!

If I had to describe SEGA’s Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX in a couple of words, hands down it would be “irresistibly cute.” This Nintendo 3DS music rhythm game starring the world’s most famous virtual diva, Hatsune Miku, lets you tap along to 48 full length fan-favourite songs, in addition to interacting with Miku and friends in so many fun ways. With its large variety of game modes and play styles to suit all skill levels, Project Mirai DX is a game music fans of all ages can enjoy.

Tokyo Game Show 2015, Japan’s largest gaming trade show event (think E3), has officially wrapped up for another year. Once again I made the long 13-hour flight from Toronto to the land of the rising sun to take part in this grand gaming spectacle where Japanese game publishers unveil their latest creations. The show floor was absolutely buzzing with excitement and I had my camera ready to capture all the incredible sights—come take a peak!

Ah, September. The month when the fall line-up flood gates open wide and we’re treated to some of the most anticipated video games of the year. With so many incredible titles releasing this month it was too hard to pick my usual five or six favourites, so instead, I’m doing my top ten. Come take a look!
