I would use in all the rooms in my home, dust and dirt don’t just stay in one place. I have used an older model Dyson and absolutely loved it for use inside and outside on the carpets on my decks. Oh my gosh this would be amazing not only for my entire house but also the carpet in my front hall. My entranceway is down a massive flight of stairs and there is no plug to plug my vacuum in.
