  1. I think the KitchenAid ExactSlice Food Processor Stand Mixer Attachment would solve many cooking and baking issues in our house

  2. Some one my favourite cherished family traditions are baking such things as Bits and Bites, M&M cookies and peanut butter blossom cookies.

  3. Every Christmas, my father and his elementary school/high school friends gather with their families for a nice dinner to share with everyone, and we rotate among the different families homes and every family tries to help out by bringing dishes. My family usually brings a potato salad and the desserts, and we spend Christmas Eve and the morning of Christmas day together to make delicious food for everyone to share.

  4. Baking and decorating sugar cookies with friends. Some were more talented than others but everyone had fun!

  5. As a child I helped my mother make Christmas character shaped cookies using the metal forms that had been used by her mother.

This season at age 81, we will use these same cookie forms to continue a three generation tradition.

  6. Christmas baking was always my favourite part of the season! Kris Kringle cookies and gingerbread are my favourite Christmas cookies.

  7. My fave holiday cooking tradition is going through my grandma’s recipes and picking one out to re-create. It brings her back to us for a moment.

  8. I used to make a day of it, with one of my Aunts. We would spend most of a Sunday making pasta ! Enough for each of us to have a month’s worth, after we ate that day of course.
I miss those days with her, some of the best times of my life..

  9. One of my favourite holiday traditions is making my famous guacamole for my family while we wait for the holiday meal to finish cooking.

  10. When moved to Canada from the US 25 years ago (married a Canadian), I never gave too much thought about the differences when it came to holiday food traditions. Since I was a kid in the 70s, green bean casserole has been part of every holiday meal. To my surprise, no one I talked to in those early days had ever heard of it. About 12 years ago, when we “moved into town”, we started going to our friends house for holiday dinners. Their teenage (at the time) daughter asked if I’d ever made it before. She saw it on a cooking show and wanted to try it. And just like that, it has become a new family tradition that has actually passed on to the next generation. Next generation and a new Canadian tradition too perhaps?

  11. I miss my Gramma Polly, she taught me how to bake and cook. She did everything by hand and as she aged we bought her a mixer. She pretended she wouldn’t use it, but sure enough, within a week she had it on the counter, had even sewed a cover for it and was baking up a storm.

  12. We celebrate Ukrainian christmas, so we always did the 12 course meal on Christmas Eve including: salmon, perogies, cabbage rolls and wheat/apple soup

  13. I love getting together for a day of cabbage roll prepping with my daughters – and to be sure, some of those cabbage rolls are taste tested before Christmas dinner!

  14. After coming home for Christmas – we forgot to take a box with us to gift for the Holidays, we were able to ask Tim Hortons for some bail-out. The manager said why not. He helped us bake, two cakes, 36 muffins (where we left the recipes) It got even greater when he invited us all to a brunch right after Christmas. He said: It is our first. One price for all of this.

  15. I have been a professional cookie/cake decorator for 12 years and I love teaching cookie decorating classes around the holidays. It’s amazing to see my students create beautiful, edible works of art and unleash talents they never knew they had.

  16. My mom and aunt make the best carrot cake!!! I was at work one day, my husband grabbed the beloved recipe and made it. He called me in a panic, questioning “Is the cake supposed to be foaming over in the oven?” He had mistakenly used icing sugar instead of flour, which cause it to boil over and create a sugary flow in the bottom of my oven!

  17. In our cozy kitchen, I showed my kids how to make cookies. We mixed flour, giggled a lot, and shaped the dough into fun holiday cookies. It wasn’t just about baking—it was about making sweet memories together.

  18. My favourite family memory is when the children gathered around to help decorate the sugar cookies. Those were fun times and made great memories.

  19. This past week was the first time my 2 year old son baked gingerbread cookies with my mom and I. It was a special treat for all of us and we will definitely be baking again together.

  20. My favourite cooking memory is helping my mom prepare for thanksgiving and Christmas. I think the pasta attachment would be a fun item to learn how to use.

  21. When I was cooking with my mother as a child, I dumped the whole chilli bottle in the chilli pot when she turned away, mixed her in, and voila, spicy revenge for life

  22. I would like the Dough Hook attachment since we both are huge fans of fresh baked buns and cakes! Using the hook would save my poor tired arms as well. Cheers y’all! 😉

  23. Watching my mom and grandma working together in our kitchen making Christmas cakes together was something else! Grandma insisted on using overproof rum in her recipe- but more than a little passed their lips during the long process.. but yes!, they were well blessed indeed 😉 and gassed up too!

  24. My favourite holiday baking recipe is for gumdrop loaf. It was passed down to me by my mother-in-law who got it from her mother-in-law lol and I only make it during the holiday season. With a kitchen aid mixer it would make it oh so much easier!

  25. A special baking memory is our daughter baking with my mother. Our daughter (since age 2) loved to bake and especially with her beloved Grandmere. My mother has passed, but the memories of her baking with our daughter live on in our hearts, and especially in our daughter’s heart. She is in her 30’s now, and still has a love of baking, thank you to her dear Grandmere.

  26. Growing up, I always looked forward to going to my paternal Slovak Grandmother’s for Christmas… she always had an array of baking – including sugar cookies, cinnamon buns, poppy seed rolls, sweet prune buns, sweet buns (that I think had coconut in them), and more. She did this all by hand … no electric mixers, etc. She didn’t have any recipes written down, and when I was younger, I didn’t think of asking for the recipes. She has since passed on (with no one in the family having any of her wonderful recipes.) I have been researching and searching for recipes of the traditional Slovak baking items she used to make… I have found a few, but the search continues.

  27. Christmas is definitely all about making cookies and I would love this mixer for making all the holiday treats, but I would also love the pasta attachment because I’ve never made home made pasta and this looks like it would be fun to try.
