Immerse yourself in authentic MLB action
RBI Baseball 18 features over 300 digitally modelled likenesses of current MLB players. In addition, hundreds of new animations give the feeling of genuine gameplay. Character models have also been updated from previous iterations to resemble their true-life counterparts even more closely than before.
Ballparks have received a makeover as well, with enhanced lighting and textures. A 3D crowd system is designed to deliver the energy and excitement of a real stadium full of fans. RBI Baseball 18 even includes recreations of all 30 major league parks.
With new dynamic camera angles for every major league stadium, each team has a familiar atmosphere on their home turf.
More than one way to play
First off, the bread and butter of RBI Baseball 18 is certainly its franchise mode. Here gamers can take control of any of the 30 Major League Baseball teams and lead them through multiple seasons on a quest to build a franchise dynasty. Picking up free agents and calling up rookies are the biggest perks that roster management offers, as teams are crafted and refined over the course of time.
Looking for a break from the long road to making franchise history? In addition, RBI Baseball 18 also offers a brand-new Home Run Derby mode. Take on the CPU or assert supremacy over a friend in this contest to see who can deliver the most long balls over the wall and into the crowd of raving fans.
Finally, yearning for the all-time greats of yesteryear? RBI Baseball 18 presents an offering of over 100 of the biggest legends from across the history of the sport.
Keeping it current
Developer MLB Advanced Media commits to keeping player stats up to date with real-life performance. They will be releasing a roster update every Friday throughout the 2018 season. Consequently, players who have consistent and/or explosive performances will see their stats tuned in tandem with their success.
Ozzie Albies of the Atlanta Braves hits .400 with 3 home runs, 6 runs, and 4 RBIs out of the gate. Hence the 2nd baseman promptly receives a boost to power and contact in the next update.
When pitcher Garrett Cole of the Houston Astros boasts 22 strike outs and a 0.64 ERA over the same span? Cole’s reward is a boost to his curve, drop, and speed difference as a result.

This version of RBI only brings slight improvements over RBI Baseball 17. Its still a very lacking game and doesn’t really add all that much versus the ’17 version. It’s a good thing the Developers have listened to customer complaints, and so the upcoming RBI Baseball ’19 is suppose to be a major overhaul improvement with every single aspect of the game getting overhauled. Including the removal of slow load times. And background people cheering will be a lot more life like etc., Can’t Wait,
