Passing by WB Games booth, I was eager to stop by and play LEGO DC Super Villains. The LEGO franchise is super fun for the family and DC Villains are hilarious. Well, laughter is part of Joker’s personality, right? After my LEGO-session, I slipped in another room to get a first look at Hitman 2, Agent 47-style.

LEGO DC Super Villains

The demo starts on Stryker’s Island. Lex Luthor escape from prison with the help of a recruit prisoner. That’s us. We select a fully customisable character and play alongside Lex, Cheetah and Solomon Grundy. The action-adventure game is full of fighting, destroying, building and puzzle solving missions. Anyone familiar with LEGO video games gameplay mechanic feels right at home.

Joker’s abilities include bringing guards to hysterical laughter, and Harley Quinn destroy doors with her huge hammer. I really had fun playing super villains.

We didn’t see much of the story, but we know that Justice League’s superheroes are there. I came across Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Aquaman, Flash, Cyclop, Green Lantern and Cyborg. I’m sure others will join the fight. LEGO video games are good to bring as many characters as possible. There’s even an Ultra team in the game. Who are they exactly? We’ll find out when LEGO DC Super Villains comes out on October 16.

Hitman 2

Agent 47 is back in a full original game. Hitman 2 promise the same stealth action fans are used to, but with better AI and so many options to work with. My play session took place during a racing event. The mission: kill one of the racers. The challenge: get rid of her while she’s on the track, in front of a crowded stadium.

Agent 47 is a master in disguise. He doesn’t need to kill people to complete his missions, only to blend in the environment he works in. I found out a mascot was waiting to be escorted into the VIP section. That was my chance to get inside the perimeter. Then, I knocked out a mechanic to put his clothes on and infiltrate the racer’s teammates.

All this needs to be executed without anyone noticing. When a body is found, it shows on the top of the screen. Make sure you’re away when the discovery occurs. Security cameras watch every corridor, so we need to be extra careful. Mirrors can also be tricky. If 47 acts in front of it, every person in the reflection angle can catch us.

Think you’re up to the challenge? Don’t miss Hitman 2 on November 13 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

  1. There are so many LEGO games out there, I I haven’t bought one since LEGO Star Wars II. It doesn’t seem like a lot of the gameplay changes between games, but I am intrigued by the idea of a game based around the bad guys. I wonder if they will actually win for once.
