Premium TVs begin with outstanding new technology

I get this question quite frequently on the blog and on social media, “I want to buy a new TV; can you tell me which TV should I get?” My answer is to figure out your budget and space considerations for the room where it will be placed, then get the most future friendly TV with the largest screen that will fit in your home that you can afford. Future friendly means best technology available. And this year is a banner year for new technology in televisions.

I am planning on getting a new set for my home one day. I have a budget in mind and a TV size in mind (65 inch). I haven’t decided which brand to purchase yet because they are all so tempting! Each of the top manufactures has released new televisions with outstanding new technologies that make the colours more vibrant, details clearer, and the overall entertainment experience much better.

Do your research and plan for your next TV

Buying a television does require doing a bit of research. This contest will help you do that so you will know which future friendly Premium TV will be right for your home. There are three television prizes, one from each of the major TV manufacturers, Samsung, Sony, and LG, as shown here.

  18. Concerning the Samsungs, the AI idea for upsizing lower resolution content is interesting. I’d be curious to see what that does to some older video game content.

    The TV I’m most interested in is QN55Q900RBFXZC. I’ve long avoided 4K sets feeling that 8K would be here soon and stick longer.

    But also, dang there’s a $100K 98″ TV!?

  19. The feature I like best about the LG Premium TVs is that the NanoCell TVs use Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, which automatically adjusts the setting depending on the ambient light conditions. I also love that there’s 3D sound for a truly immersive 360 degree experience. My favourite LG Premium TV is the LG NanoCell 65″ 4K UHD HDR LED WebOS Smart TV (65NAN085UNA).

    a) I would love an LG tv for the simple fact that it is a gaming tv with LG OLED TV. As I read, LG OLED TV with NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility provides a detailed picture quality generated by 8 million-plus self-lit pixels on the 48-inch screen. I want to feel as though I am part of the game and this tv will do just that.
    b) My dream tv would be the LG NanoCell 55″ 4K UHD HDR LED webOS Smart TV (55NANO86UNA)
