I get this question quite frequently on the blog and on social media, “I want to buy a new TV; can you tell me which TV should I get?” My answer is to figure out your budget and space considerations for the room where it will be placed, then get the most future friendly TV with the largest screen that will fit in your home that you can afford. Future friendly means best technology available. And this year is a banner year for new technology in televisions.
I am planning on getting a new set for my home one day. I have a budget in mind and a TV size in mind (65 inch). I haven’t decided which brand to purchase yet because they are all so tempting! Each of the top manufactures has released new televisions with outstanding new technologies that make the colours more vibrant, details clearer, and the overall entertainment experience much better.
Do your research and plan for your next TV
Buying a television does require doing a bit of research. This contest will help you do that so you will know which future friendly Premium TV will be right for your home. There are three television prizes, one from each of the major TV manufacturers, Samsung, Sony, and LG, as shown here.
These are all premium prizes, so you must do a bit of work before you enter to win one of them. Since each of these brands provided a prize for this contest, you’ll be allowed to enter once per brand. Read the directions below carefully.
How to enter
Entering this contest is easy and you can enter once for each brand that provided a prize to this contest for a total of three unique entries: one entry about Sony, one about Samsung, and one about LG. For each entry, in a comment below, tell us
a) which new technology by that brand has you most excited about their Premium TVs this year. You can go to these articles for information about the new technology from each brand.
b) which model by that brand on the Best Buy website is your favourite (you must be precise: saying something like “any model” is not a valid response).

At the end of the contest, we will randomly select three winners from all eligible entries to receive one of the three televisions shown above.
This contest runs from June 1st to June 15th.
Remember you can enter once for each brand of television offered as a prize in this contest. However, you must know lots of people who would be thrilled for a chance to win one of these televisions. For Sony Im most excited to learn and see the TRILUMINOS Display technology! I mean who doesn’t want to watch something so colourful and realistic! It would be incredible to have the Sony 75″ 4K UHD HDR LED Android Smart TV (XBR75X800H) for my family to enjoy for years to come!

I am excited with LG’s OLED and NanoCell technologies. And I simply love the minimalist Gallery Series. My favourite LG Premium TV is the LG NanoCell 65″ 4K UHD HDR LED webOS Smart TV (65NANO86UNA).
I like the thought of incorporating a TV with a wood-like bezel like SAMSUNG offers…it then becomes a piece of furniture, rather than a tool.
While on the smaller side compared to other choices I like the Samsung The Frame 55″ 4K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV (QN55LS03TAFXZC), which I think I could incorporate over my mantle.
Sony has the amazing X-Motion Clarity™ technology, which would help when watching sports.
And the Sony 85″ 4K UHD HDR LED Android Smart TV (XBR85X900F) caught my eye…just the mere size!
I like the picture quality of the Samsung TVs. It will give clear and precise HD or 4K images with 8K-level picture quality. I like the Samsung 58″ 4K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV (QN58Q60TAFXZC) in Titan Grey. It would suit our family.

I think the Sony 65″ 4K UHD HDR LED Android Smart TV is top notch and I would love to hear the sound quality with features like Ambient Optimization technology and Acoustic Multi-Audio.

I know the LG NanoCell 55 has just a ton of features but if i am honest the MAGIC REMOTE has got me hypnotized. Voice and motion control I need this in my life. and of course the amazing picture

SONY X900H is by far my fav. I am a huge gamer and a movie buff. WithX-Motion Clarity™ technology and it is compatible with my google home setup. Brilliant.
Samsung’s 8K Quantum Processor has me really excited because I haven’t seen an 8K TV yet. My favourite is the QN65Q80, it seems perfect for me.
Sony’s Motionflow XR has me really excited. I really want the 65″ X950H because it’s the highest model available in a 65″ size that has LCD technology (I don’t quite trust OLED yet because of burn-in)
Samsung’s The Frame’s Ambient mode using the QLED technology is great for the Granny who doesn’t want her living room to look like ground control at NASA.

Triluminos technology sounds great with again amazing colour rendition.
The Sony 65” 4K UHD HDR LED Android Smart TV XBR65X950H model sold by Bestbuy would be my favourite.

I’m most excited about the Sony A9G 77″ series, for the screen size the OLED with Pixel Contract Booster and Triluminos display should have the best cinema viewing experience.

I am super excited about Sony’s Triluminous Display feature. I enjoy watching nature documentaries, in which color is very important for the overall experience and, this feature will definitely enhance the viewing pleasure. Sony 65” X95OH would be the perfect TV for my family. Besides Triluminnous Display, I love that it has Hands-free Voice search, and built in google assistant.
