Why you should be looking at Samsung TVs in 2023

Have you looked at the range of TVs on display at a Best Buy store these days? I have. Impressive. Almost all of them are LED TVs, though there are a range of types of LED TVs. In the store your eyes will first be drawn to the stunning Samsung Frame TVs. We gave one of these away earlier this year on the blog. Then you’ll look at some of the other types of LEDs and, if you are like most people, you’ll be confused by the terms: OLED, QLED, and Neo QLED. All three are great. All three do some things better than other things. For example, OLEDs have the best blacks thanks to individual self-lighting pixels. QLED has the best brightness (great for bright rooms) thanks to the backlighting. Neo QLEDs are the best combination thanks to their arrays of mini-LED backlighting. Samsung QLED and Neo QLEDs have other advantages too including lower costs.

Why do you want a new TV this fall

Each year, the fall season seems to usher in not just pumpkin spice lattes and sweater weather, but also a surge in people bringing home new TV sets. Here are the top two reasons why:

1. New models and clearance sales

Television manufacturers often release new models in the spring and summer so by fall, these new releases have had time to be reviewed so you know which ones to buy. This not only help you make more informed decisions but also puts pressure on retailers to clear out older inventory to make room for the next generation of models. So whether you are looking for the best new TVs or last year’s models at significant savings, this is the best time of year.

2. Ready for holiday entertainment and sports events

The fall season is a precursor to major holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve, all of which are synonymous with family gatherings and home entertainment. People anticipate needing a better or bigger TV to host movie marathons, special broadcasts, and, of course, holiday specials. Additionally, fall is a significant season for sports with the NFL, NBA, and NHL seasons bringing excitement into our homes. The lure of watching big games and key matchups on a shiny new screen can be hard to resist.

Fall is a perfect storm of incentives; it’s the season not just for falling leaves but also for finding the perfect new TV for your home on television sets. And it’s the perfect time for us to have a contest giving two of the newest and best TVs away.

What you can win

At the end of this contest, we will randomly draw two winners. One will receive the Samsung QN90C TV that Shelly reviewed and the other will receive the Samsung Q70C TV that Shelly reviewed.

This contest runs from Sept 15th to Oct 1st.

  1. My Samsung Tizen 43 inch is no longer supported by Samsung so I can really use a new TV. Just have to catch up with some old shows as nothing is in production at the moment owing to the actors and writers strike down in the states,,,

    Two shows I’m looking forward to watching this fall are Loki season 2 and Halo season 2.

  33. The reason that I neeD a new TV Is because The one I have is 40″ LN Series by SAMsung from 2006 that has a few issues. The bulbs are not as luminescent as they were at first, one or two pixels are out, AND the auDio quality neeDs to be upgraded as weLL.

    1. im currently using a Hisense Roku 42″ tv only passed down by my cousin who left the country
    2. I love streaming and play video games, both experiences can really be heightened by a good TV

  44. I would like a new TV this fall because the one in the basement is only 40 inches. If I get a bigger TV, I will be able to comfortably watch TV in the basement with the fireplace on. Also my old TV in the basement is not even a smart TV. It truly needs replacing. I look forward to watching Wil Trent and The Good Doctor.

  46. I’ve had this 1080P Sharp Aquos TV since 2011, and I’d like to upgrade it!. Any of the 2-3 new Walking Dead spin off shows would look great on a new TV.

  48. I would love a new TV because my family’s sole TV (a 2015 Vizio) recently had a backlight (or dimming zone) failure, leading to a permanent dark rectangle on the screen. I would also like to surprise my partner with something that is outside of our budget!
