So many people have Sony on their wishlist at Christmas time. Sony under the Christmas tree

I’m surprised no one has invented a holiday song related to finding Sony under the tree on Christmas morning. Holiday songs are all about traditions we cherish and repeat and I think Sony has become part of many people’s holiday tradition. Don’t we all have a Sony holiday memory? I know I do.

A long, long time ago, I was dying for a portable cassette player: and of course Sony was “the brand” with their Walkman line. There aren’t many gifts from my past that I remember opening, but I can recall unwrapping that bright yellow Walkman Sport like the one shown here—vividly remember!

My first thin LED big screen TV was, and still is, a Sony. I’ve had it for over 13 years now and still love the picture quality. When it finally bids me farewell, the Sony XBR55A8G that we are giving away in this contest would be a fantastic replacement. I sent one of these to Shelly to review and she absolutely loved it for watching the newest movies and even for gaming. The OLED screen really has to be seen to be believed—it is that amazing!   2. I would like the Sony 7.1 Channel Speaker System, It is the perfect companion for the Sony 55″ 4K UHD HDR OLED Android Smart TV.
    My favourite Sony memory is from Boxing Day in the late 1970’s when I bought my first Sony Trinitron TV. So cool because it had push-button express tuning! It was such incredible quality for its day. I remember receiving a sticker in the mail to attach to the TV that extended the warranty on the CRT 5 years!

  12. Aside from the TV of course a A6000 mirrorless camera with 16-50mm-55-210mm lenses. That would be amazing to capture beautiful moments during travels and special occasions.

  13. Had worked 11 years for a good employer who generously paid me 1 week’s pay for each year of service when I moved to another job. That was 15 years ago. I took the money then and bought one of the first ever Somy Trinitron flat screen plasma TYs. 46”. Heavy think. Great looking. Still works 100% with an amazingly beautifully sharp and colourful image. Expensive it was, but the best on the market at the time. I’d welcome a newer slightly bigger and lighter screen … that I wish to gift to someone who lost their job and struggled all year. It would be a pay it forward kind of gesture. Well, that’s my story.

  15. The Sony blue ray we purchased from Best Buy last year. My husband, 3 children and myself all purchased a movie each and sat and watch movies all day in our pjs with snack on Boxing Day

Growing up SONY is already a part of my life, my parents have a SONY TV and radio, to be honest thats even the words my son spell when he started to read, I am amazed where he saw it and he was reading it S-O-N-Y on the bottom of our old sony Box TV, those were my days in Asia and we have a SONY emergency light thats been handy during the ice storm, I was gifted a SONY MIRRORLESS Alpha5 camera which made me cry when I open the package because I am so surprised and not expect it at all. My husband told me that “I am worth it!” What a sweet word indeed. During the recent Black Friday, we visited BestBuy Kanata and he stop on one of the SONY tv on display and by looking at his eyes how he amazed with the quality and hoping I will return the favor of surprising him with this TV, We have our Tv room that still has an old box TV so this woild be perfect to upgrade our Tv area.   39. I remember getting my very first Sony CD Boombox from Santa. It was the first CD player in the house and I would blast my Cypress Hill and Pearl Jam CDs until it drove my parents crazy. Fond Sony memories.

  42. Would love a PlayStation 4, my favourite memory was getting the yellow Sony Walkman for Christmas and making my own mixed tapes, which I still have to this day. Lots of Ozzy Osbourne lol.

  43. I would like a good receiver to replace my don’t stereo. My first portable music player was a cassette Walkman. I went through 3 cassette walkmans then moved on to cd discman then minidisc. Love Sony products.

    S-O-N-Y……those were my days in Asia and when we move to UK, again we have a SONY emergency light light and radio which was very handy when we move to Canada and it’s ice storm, now it is a trusted brand that we can count on. So 3,yes ago during the Christmas holiday, we went to Best Buy and I saw the SONY Alpha5 camera that I long for with complete zoom lens kit, i did not buy it but I am so surprised to find out its under the tree and my hubby and son gift it for me, I am so in tears but I do not expect it because its expensive, my hubby told me “You deserve IT!” To add more to it, during your Black Friday event, we went to your Kanata branch and saw a SONY OLED Tv and my hubby simply look at it, I can tell by his eyes that he want it hut he can’t day it because we have been in a rough yr when our health is not in 100 %, my son had a big open surgery early spring, we both having recent issues but life has to go n, so who knows if Santa will drop a wonderful message to us, health and this TV what else could we ask for. Soo many wonderful, lifelong memories with Sony…. from the original Sony Walkman that I used to use while cycling literally everywhere in the 80’s, to the Discman in the 90’s-early 2000’s to the first semi-smart phone by Sony! I’m not sure what new Sony product I would choose, there are so many wonderful ones to choose from! Winning would be simply wonderful! 😉

  49. The latest Sony phone. My current phone isn’t very good and it’s been years since I have had a Sony phone, maybe it’s time to try them again.
