So many people have Sony on their wishlist at Christmas time. I’m surprised no one has invented a holiday song related to finding Sony under the tree on Christmas morning. Holiday songs are all about traditions we cherish and repeat and I think Sony has become part of many people’s holiday tradition. Don’t we all have a Sony holiday memory? I know I do.

A long, long time ago, I was dying for a portable cassette player: and of course Sony was “the brand” with their Walkman line. There aren’t many gifts from my past that I remember opening, but I can recall unwrapping that bright yellow Walkman Sport like the one shown here—vividly remember!

My first thin LED big screen TV was, and still is, a Sony. I’ve had it for over 13 years now and still love the picture quality. When it finally bids me farewell, the Sony XBR55A8G that we are giving away in this contest would be a fantastic replacement. I sent one of these to Shelly to review and she absolutely loved it for watching the newest movies and even for gaming. The OLED screen really has to be seen to be believed—it is that amazing!   5. Sony is one of the highest quality in the industry when it comes to sound and TV but not only quality but the reliability aspect of the products they make is very astonishing. Our family used to own a 2007 Sony home theatre sound system and it still runs today. Recently we purchased a soundbar from Best Buy, and oh my god, a small sound system bar can produce the best and loudest sound and the subwoofer give you that deep thump to it. The soundbar we got is called Sony HTS350.

My most memorable Sony holiday memory is, my parents bought me the iconic yellow Sony Walkman one Christmas and I still have that original Sony Walkman to this very date. My holiday Sony story during is our family’s yearly tradition of watching Home Alone on our Sony VCR player!!!   31. I remember waiting outside Best Buy all night for the launch of the PS3. There were about 30 of us. We started as a group of strangers but by morning we were friends. We shared gaming stories and our love of the PlayStation brand. I’ll never forget it.

  36. This Sony 4K TV would be fantastic at Christmas. I’m sure the grandkids would like it so much more than my 15 year old, no name poor quality 32 inch tv I am using. Always in awe of the colours in the new tvs when I go through Best Buy.

    I will tell you a quick story about Sony….
    When I was younger (much younger) I got a job at a Ma and Pa electronics store.
    The best tv you could possibly buy was a Sony XBR 42” (rough size). I was the delivery guy… I used to work out quite a bit but nothing could have made me ready to deliver 100 Sony XBR’s in December in time for Christmas to people. Some people would try to say that they would take it gone themselves but this was a TV that that just wasn’t possible. The 4 inch thick bomb proof glass weighed 100’s of pounds! Needless to say I had a love hate relationship with the Song XBR’s. The picture was amazing and I got in phenomenal shape!
